Marcos Fernández(VI)

Born in Barcelona, Marcos is a London based TV and film composer and
producer. He completed a piano degree at ESMUC, a degree in composition
at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and a Masters in Screen
Composition (Film and TV) at the Royal College of Music.
His approach to film music scoring began with composer Arnau Bataller and continued with Joseph Horovitz. He has received professional advice from Craig Armstrong, Patrick Doyle, Howard Shore, Francesco Santucci, Debbie Wiseman and Jeni Muskett. At seventeen, he worked alongside veteran Spanish actor Oscar Rodriguez for the score of the melodrama "Contextos" directed by Jordi Purtí and toured between 2002-2005.
Since then, Marcos has worked in numerous film productions participating in major International film festivals and has been awarded as a musician in more than twenty times. He also wrote an opera produced by Cre.Art Project during his composition residency with the company and toured around Spain in 2011-2012.
