However, all eyes were on her husband and coach, Shane Tusup, who intensely cheered her on from the stands. Hosszu, 27, narrowly missed beating the world record in the preliminary round, which appeared to be a huge disappointment to her husband watching. However, she shattered the record during the finals with a time of 4:26.36, easily passing the previous record of 4:28.43 set in 2012 by Chinese swimmer Ye Shiwen. Find someone who loves...

Dara Torres, who at the age of 41 in 2008 became the oldest swimmer ever on a U.S. Olympic team, made a run at the 2012 London Summer Olympics at the age of 45. She advanced all the way to the 50 Freestyle finals, as the third seed after the semis.
Unfortunately, Torres' run ended Monday (July 2) in the 50 Free finals, when she finished in fourth place - only the top two swimmers make the team. Jessica Hardy and Kara Lynn Joyce took first and second with times of 24.5 and 24.73, respectively. Torres clocked a time of 24.82.
Torres had this to say after her race, "You know what, I can leave this knowing I gave it everything I possibly could. That's the best I could do. Unfortunately, I didn't make the team, but I did the best I could."
And this marks the end of Torres' swimming career. She has said do not expect to...

It means you’re both hot (sans grill, ‘stache)…. and you’re both going to London! I mean, not that you weren’t Already.
Men’s 200M Freestyle: Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte (pictured, pondering) qualified along with Ricky Berens and Conor Dwyer. Fifth and sixth-place finishers Matt McLean and Charlie Houchin will also go to London to flesh out the freestyle relays — but they’ll have to swim there, in shifts.
Did anyone else think Lochte touched the wall first? I could have sworn. This is one of the many reasons I am not Olympic (electronic wall) material.
