Lorraine Tighe has warned future applicants on The Apprentice to think twice before going on the programme. The mother-of-two told the Lancashire Evening Post that her family had been negatively affected by her appearance on the show. Tighe said: "My family never signed up for a reality television show. Last night's episode of The Apprentice scored the biggest audience for the series so far, according to the latest viewing figures. The penultimate episode of the series, which saw James McQuillan, Lorraine Tighe and Debra Barr all fired by Sir Alan, averaged 9.22m (38.7%) during the 9pm hour. The previous high for the series was the opener, which took 8.11m (33.3%). The half-hour The Apprentice: You're Fired then took 3.97m (18.5%) for BBC Two at 10pm. The Apprentice attracted three times as many viewers as its nearest rival, ITV1's Cops With Cameras, which put in 2.97m (12.5%). Bronx-born Kimberly Davis has become the fifth candidate to fired on The Apprentice. Sir Alan Sugar sacked the self-proclaimed "rough tough cream puff from New York" after she lead team Ignite to defeat in a breakfast cereal advertising challenge. Team Empire's 'Treasure Flakes' advert was a triumph, while Team Ignite's 'Wake Up Call' ad with a cartoon character called 'Pants Man' was heavily criticised. Makers of The Apprentice have stood by the show's selection process after it emerged that a candidate was questioned over an alleged £8 million tax fraud. Lorraine Tighe, 36, did not disclose details of the investigation when she applied for the BBC One show, reports The Daily Telegraph.
