[Editor’s Note: Welcome to the first installment of Cine-Sunday, a new weekly feature here on Nerdly where we revisit the newly-revived Cine-Asia’s back catalogue and review the highlights. Going forward each new review will go live on Sunday’s at noon (UK time). And you can see all the Cine-Asia titles we’ve reviewed, so far, right here]
Despite their small size and inexperience, having grown up under the roof of a Muay Thai school two young brothers and their friends have become highly skilled, if undisciplined, martial artists. Sadly, the youngest of the gang suffers from an acute heart condition, which following a minor scuffle with some local bullies lands him in hospital and desperately in need of a life-saving transplant. Fortunately, a viable heart soon becomes available at another local hospital, but before it can be transferred the building is overtaken by rebel soldiers-turned-terrorists prepared to kill if their politically-driven demands are not met by the authorities.
With only four hours in which the surgery can be performed successfully, the young friends take it upon themselves to infiltrate the hospital and retrieve the donated organ.

"Give me back the chip!!" Don't shoot the messenger, but apparently this Microchip flick stars a guy who is to replace Tony Jaa, the Thai martial arts superstar who can't seem to get away from Ong Bak. The film is called The Microchip and it's a terribly cheesy Thai action movie starring Simon Kook - the dude that's supposed to be just as good as Jaa. Quiet Earth found the trailer and I know it's pretty bad, but at least it's something to watch. The story obviously involves some microchip being stolen or something, but it doesn't matter. Give it a shot if you wish, but don't blame us if you hate this, it is very cheesy. Extended cut here. Watch an official trailer for Krissanapong Rachata's The Microchip: An epic battle to avert disaster! Gotta love the roughly translated sales quotes in it. The Microchip is both...

Director: Krissanapong Rachata. Review: Adam Wing. From the team behind Ong Bak, Raging Phoenix and Chocolate comes Power Kids (5 huajai hero), the latest Muay Thai action extravaganza from first time director Krissanapong Rachata. Lek is well versed in the art of Muay Thai, as are the five street children he treats as his own. The youngest of these kids has a heart condition, and when an incident leaves him in critical condition, it’s up to the four remaining children to save his life. The day arrives when the transplant can take place, but what do you know, an international terrorist group have taken over the hospital and there’s only four hours left to steal the heart, defeat the terrorists and save the day. Goes without saying really.
