Stars Matt Bomer and Jonathan Bailey set TV screens ablaze in the romantic period drama “Fellow Travelers.” The Showtime miniseries follows two men whose love is intertwined across several decades, spanning wars and political events. Since its debut in October, it has received widespread acclaim.
Revealed exclusively to Variety, the series has been submitted for 23 potential Primetime Emmy nominations across multiple categories. In addition to outstanding limited or anthology series, the pilot episode, penned by Ron Nyswaner and directed by Daniel Minahan, will serve as the official submission in their respective categories.

M Cream, a debut feature by Agneya Singh, will be screened as the closing film of the 18th Rhode Island International Film Festival. The film will have its world premiere at the festival on August 10.
Shot in New Delhi and Himachal Pradesh, the film features Imaad Shah, Ira Dubey, Tom Alter, Barry John and Auritra Ghosh. M Cream revolves around “a motley crew of university students who set out on a journey in the pursuit of a mythical form of hashish, confronting a series of encounters that begin to unravel the myriad realities of rebellion.”
Director Agneya Singh is a graduate of the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University.
The Rhode Island International Film Festival will also screen Points of Origin (India), a short film directed by Anya Leta, which explores the emotional conflicts of an American couple while attempting to have a baby with a surrogate mother in India.
