Nick Viall almost gave up on us for a second there, but Bachelor Nation, we’ve made it to hometowns.
Monday night’s episode picked up in the aftermath of Nick sending Kristina home in Bimini, which prompted Corinne to fly into a blind panic that Nick might decide to eliminate her before hometowns, too. Silly Corinne. Obviously we needed to meet Nanny Raquel before the season was over so Corinne obviously got a rose, as did the remaining three women: Rachel, Raven and Vanessa. And obviously Nick cried as he handed the roses out because he’s never not crying anymore.

While there’s no doubt that over the years many of our favorite contestants on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette would probably agree with that phrase, there are quite a few that seem to have taken it a little too literally. They plotted, schemed, lied and betrayed — and made for some pretty amazing television in the process.
And, if we were really lucky, they then ended up on one of the spin-off shows like Bachelor in Paradise and Bachelor Pad. In the spirit of free-flowing roses, champagne and drama, let’s...

The wait is almost over, Bachelor Nation! On Tuesday's After Paradise, rose lovers will finally find out the identity of the ABC hit's next leading man. Former Bachelors Sean Lowe and Ben Higgins are set to welcome the lucky guy to the live Bachelor in Paradise after show to talk about the journey ahead. Tonight's #AfterParadise is going to be bananas! No exaggeration. So much great awkwardness and of course the big Bachelor announcement!— Sean Lowe (@SeanLowe09) August 30, 2016 Higgins even hinted that the race might be down to two men from JoJo Fletcher's season of The Bachelorette: Luke Pell and Chase McNary.

If you were to make a guess about Monday’s episode of The Whispers based on the photo accompanying this recap, you’d probably think it was a feel-good hour of television, right? You might surmise that the mystery surrounding Drill was solved with no loose ends dangling, and Minx is hugging her dad because she realized that Drill’s game was sort of weird after all… right?
So, so wrong.
Because other than Minx’s triumphant board-game victory against her friend early in the episode, there wasn’t much about Week 2 that you could put in the win column for these characters.

Following the death of former "Bachelor" contestant Gia Allemand on Wednesday, the late reality personality's ex-boyfriend, Wes Hayden, has spoken out about the loss of Gia to an apparent suicide.

Evident by the outpouring of heartbreaking Tweets from past and present members of The Bachelor franchise, season 14's Gia Allemand, 29, was a beloved contestant. Remembered for her long, brown locks, carefree personality and fit physique, the third finalist in Jake Pavelka's season died of an apparent suicide on Wednesday after being hospitalized in critical condition on Monday night, following a "serious emergency medical event," ABC said. While Allemand's death is a tragedy, her life can be remembered in notable TV clips during her time in the reality TV spotlight. Here are five of the New Yorker's most memorable on-camera...

Gia Allemand, the 29-year-old beauty who finished third on Jake Pavelka's "Bachelor" season and went on to compete on "Bachelor Pad" Seasons 1 and 2, was pronounced dead Wednesday (Aug. 14) after an apparent suicide in New Orleans.
We had the pleasure of meeting Gia at the "Bachelor Pad" Season 1 finale and she was warm and sweet, which is a sentiment echoed by the members of "Bachelor" nation, who are in shock over her death.
The "Bachelor" nation members have also been sending their thoughts and prayers to Gia's family and friends:
"It's with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our good friend Gia Allemand. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her." -- Chris Harrison
"We lost an incredible human being today. @giaallemand." -- Ali Fedotowsky
"I am in complete shock and devastated to hear the news about Gia. She was one of the sweetest people I have ever known.

In breaking the heart of Des Hartsock during last night’s episode of The Bachelorette, Brooks Forester — who essentially decided that he just wasn’t that into her — may have done the show a massive favor by injecting some much needed realism into what’s become one of the fluffiest campfests on television.
When the franchise first launched as The Bachelor back in 2002, it was a bizarre amalgamation of game show and dating show, with the ultimate goal being for the hunk in question to find the woman of his dreams, propose marriage and ride off into the sunset. The premise was a cheesy as it was irresistible, and women clamored to do something they’d likely never do in real life: date a man who was simultaneously dating more than a dozen other ladies.

A week after rapping about being on The Bachelorette for "the right reasons," one suitor proved he was the opposite but genuine when his girlfriend showed up to confront him.

Joining the ranks of Wes from Jillian's season, Justin from Ali's season and Bentley from Ashley's season, Brian showed he had ulterior motives and was ultimately dismissed for his dishonesty.

Now that we've weeded out the real weirdos, let's get down to business on "The Bachelorette," shall we? If you've always been wondering why reality shows don't do more rap music videos, well, you're in luck tonight -- this show has the answer.
Brooks' Date
Kix gets the first date (Kix Brooks, get it?). He's the guy I think looks like Kevin on "Shameless" (pictured here). Right? It's uncanny. Anyway, their first stop is at Desiree's bridal boutique (where she works, not that she owns). And they leave in their wedding finery.
Desiree likes how Kix is having fun with it, but what else is he going to do? Throw a big fit? I maintain this is a weird start to the date, especially with all those extras they paid to freak out at the cupcake truck.
Then they head up to the Hollywood sign, where they get...

I don’t know, Brandon — if you have to say it, wethinks you doth protest too much. If you’ve watched tonight’s episode of The Bachelorette (and mild spoiler alert if you haven’t), you’ve also witnessed perhaps the franchise’s dumbest group date ever (a bunch of white guys — and Will — shoot a “rap video”), which prompted the aforementioned quote from the half-naked, banana-hammocked Brandon. Desiree showed some admirable gumption this week — first by insisting on driving her fancy car rather than letting the guys take the wheel, and later chiding a shy suitor: “Just kiss me already!

Check out these preview clips from next week's "Bachelorette" episode, which features two solo dates plus the Soulja Boy rap video.
Above, Bryden gets a one-on-one date that ends up in a hot tub, woo woo. He's so adorable and shy that Desiree actually says to him, "Just kiss me already." Whoa. Also, hee!
Below, Brooks and Desiree cruise around Los Angeles in her baby blue Bentley dressed like they just got married. Dez says it's supposed to be fun and it's nice that rolls with it, though we still think that's a little weird.
And finally, we have a sneak peek at the gang filming the "Right Reasons" rap video, complete with Desiree and Ben filming the faux-Wes part in full cowboy gear. The guys heckle him mercilessly, then it finally dawns on them that Dez might not like that. Um, duh. Grow up, fellas.
"The Bachelorette" airs Monday nights at 8 p.

Did you enjoy "The Bachelorette" premiere Monday night on ABC? We thought most of the men seemed Ok -- except for Fantasy Suite Jonathan, of course.
We've got some details for you for next week's episode, which sees Desiree Hartsock go on her first two one-on-one dates, one with Brooks and one with Bryden -- with one of them happening complete with formal wedding attire, which ... Ok.
The official release from ABC says:
Brooks is ecstatic when he gets the first date of the season, complete with Desiree driving them through the streets of Los Angeles in her baby blue Bentley. Making their first stop at a bridal shop, Desiree tries on lavish wedding gowns while Brooks looks dapper in a number of tuxedos. That is just the beginning of the whimsical date, as the Bachelorette decides that they should remain dressed like the top of a wedding cake throughout the date.

Before we jump into the show tonight, faithful readers and "Bachelor Pad" fans, we must draw your attention to this interview we did with Chris last week in case you missed it. His lack of self-awareness is staggering. Not only does he think his stringing along of multiple women "part of the game" (it's not), but he thought Jamie would give him a hug before she let last week. A Hug, you guys. He's lucky he didn't get punched in the throat.

We've arrived in Croatia this week, sans Ricki, so Emily can really focus on the guys. She presents the first one-on-one date card to Travis, who knows he needs this date to "stay alive." The two of them walk around while Emily plays tour guide again. They stop in front of a stone protruding from a wall, and Emily explains that if you can balance on it while removing an article of clothing, you'll fall in love. Or something like that. Travis fails, and Emily admits she really wanted to see what was under his shirt. Now I know why Ricki was not here this week.
Meanwhile, the second date card arrives, and it looks like Ryan's next in line for a one-on-one, meaning all the other guys get to go on the group date.

It takes two hours of sequined ball gowns, gratuitous shirtless scenes by the pool, a bipolar pig puppet and handwritten dreams placed inside a magical clock to really appreciate last week's rapidly moving 90-minute premiere. Emily got them in, sized them up and slapped roses on in no time flat. Week two? Not so much. For some reason, that extra half hour contributed little to the entertainment value of the show. Not even the Muppets could help this train. You'll notice I did not use the term "train wreck." That would imply that the show was messy and crazy and all over the place. On the contrary. It's more like the train you see toddlers driving in the kiddie section of an amusement park. Predictable. Safe. Low energy. In a word? Boring.

There was a time when I allowed myself to believe in the sincerity of shows like The Bachelor. Though exaggerated, the process occasionally worked, and the series satisfied my voyeuristic curiosity. I may not have liked the contestants, understood why they adhered to such unconventional romantic arrangements, or kept a straight face when they repeatedly mentioned "taking things to the next level," but part of me wanted to see it through. I suppose my naiveté paralleled the sentiments of those candidates, each of whom cast aside real life commitments for the chance of finding meaningful love... on TV.

Jake, meanwhile, recounts his fairytale romance with Vienna before she sold their break-up story to a tabloid. He hasn't seen or spoken to her since their explosive interview with Chris Harrison. Other key players include Gia Allemand, who sums up her journey as: Fell for Jake, dumped by Jake, fell for Wes on Bachelor Pad, broke (more)...

When I was told who would be moving into Bachelor Pad this season I had high expectations. Those expectations didn’t come close to the drama and excitement that will unfold over the next six weeks. I remember sitting in the control room that very first night and someone jokingly said, “This is so good we’re going to need a three hour premiere.” We all laughed because in this day and age of Add, channel-surfing viewers there’s no such thing as a three-hour show. Turns out that little joke became a reality. We had so much to show...

The second season of "Bachelor Pad" is upping the drama by bringing Jake Pavelka and his ex-fiancee Vienna Girardi back under the same roof, along with several other of the, uh, more colorful characters from recent "Bachelor/ette" seasons.
Jake and Vienna are the headliners, sure. But the cast also includes Gia Allemand, who was on the first "Bachelor Pad" and apparently has a bone to pick with Vienna over her breakup with Wes; Kasey Kahl, who according to ABC's release is dating Vienna now (really, these people should widen the dating pool a little); the polarizing Michelle Money from Brad Womack's second go-round; girlfriend-calling pro wrestler Justin "Rated R" Rego; and another Jake dumpee, single mom Ella Nolan, who comes to "Bachelor Pad" fresh off a broken engagement.
ABC also says there will be three "mystery men" from the current season of "The Bachelorette" in the cast. If one of them isn't Bentley,...

On Monday's episode of "The Bachelorette," Ashley and her suitors traveled to Phuket for some adventure and love.
Ashley took to her blog, featured on People, and wrote, "I look back at the beginning of this week in Phuket, and remember how I was still thinking about his [Bentley's] departure. However, at the end of this week, I found myself being able to see the difference between real, genuine relationships and the one I had with Bentley.

It's official: Jake and Vienna will showdown on ABC once more as the two reunite on 'Bachelor Pad.'
The second season of the 'Bachelor'/'Bachelorette' spinoff brings former castoffs from both shows together for a second (or, in Jake Pavelka's case, third) chance at televised love.
According to EW.com, among the contestants on this year's installment are the aforementioned 'Bachelor' Jake and his ex-fiance, Vienna Girardi, wrestler Justin "Rated R" Rego, second-time 'Bachelor Pad' resident Gia Allemand and more -- including three suitors from the current season of 'The Bachelorette.'
Look for added sparks thanks to the casting of Vienna's new beau Kasey Kahl and Gia Allemand, Vienna's friend/enemy/frenemy. Vienna reportedly spoiled Gia's relationship with 'Bachelorette' contestant Wes Hayden.

Players, haters, liars, jaded jerks and emotionally immature idiots — these guys give ‘The Bachelor’ and ‘The Bachelorette’ a bad name! They obviously didn’t read their contracts — these are shows about love!
The Bachelor and The Bachelorette are supposed to be series about finding love, but some guys just don’t go on the show for the right reasons. Others just aren’t mature enough or honest enough to get serious with the women they meet. Bentley Williams, Brad Womack, Jake Pavelka, Tim McCormack, Jason Mesnick, Wes Hayden, Kasey Kahl and Justin Rego have all been called out for their bad boy ways — but we want to know who you think is the worst Bachelor of all?

The latest rumor in the "Bachelorette" drama is that villain Bentley Williams, who stomped on Ashley Hebert's heart in the last episode, is being considered as the next "Bachelor"! Not so fast...
Sources tell "Extra" it's not true. Even "Bachelor" producer Cassie Lambert tweeted, "I can't imagine that ever happening. Bachelors are supposed to be desirable!"
"Extra's" Adrianna Costa talked with former "Bachelorette" bad boy Wes Hayden via Skype at his home in Nashville, who weighed-in on the casting.

['The Bachelorette' - 'Season 7, Episode 3']
Step aside, Wes Hayden, there's a new bad boy in town, and his hair is way better than yours. No season of 'The Bachelorette' would be complete without the guy you love to hate, but after this week's performance, Bentley Williams may be reality TV's Public Enemy Number One.
For three episodes, we've seen the single dad (someone call Cps) preen and scheme and cackle malevolently at Ashley's ignorance (and, to be fair, the girl has made some pretty laughable decisions this season), but the drama came to a head tonight.
Not because Bentley chose to own up and admit that he'd rather swim in pee than go on a wedding-themed date with our Bachelorette, of course, but because, up until the bitter end, he still had Ashley convinced that he was on the show for the Right Reasons.
Someone hand that man an Emmy.

Bentley has broken ‘Bachelorette’ Ashley’s heart in a way we have never before seen — but is he more horrible than his jerk predecessors?
Poor Bachelorette Ashley Hebert has her heart broken by bad boy Bentley Williams to the point where she almost quits the show. He’s been leading Ashley on since day one with his charm while at the same time talking crap about her behind her back to the cameras. Now host Chris Harrison thinks Bentley may be the worst villain to ever hit up The Bachelorette franchise!
“Is he worse than Wes or Justin Rego?” Chris asks E! Online. “He’s very different from the other guys. I think his intentions were very bad, and I don’t even know what his intentions are or were. I don’t even know what his end game was or his motivations, which is interesting because I don’t...

The stuff is about to hit the fan on "The Bachelorette" when Bentley's true intentions are revealed to Ashley Hebert on Monday's night episode (June 6). Host Chris Harrison spoke with the press about this season's villain and how in the aftermath of the next episode's events, they almost had to shut down production.
On when Harrison first knew Bentley was bad news:
"I thought he was going to be trouble the moment Ashley told me he was going to be trouble. I'll go a little bit deeper. We talked that night ... I was pretty adamant about my feelings towards him. I usually try to walk that fine gray line of host/friend/confidant, but when you have information before the guy even gets out of the limo, that is beyond a red flag ... She was so anti everything she had done on Brad's season, the being closed off...

When you cut right to the heart of it, the typical season finale of The Bachelor has a lot in common with the “torture porn” genre of horror films: After spending six weeks isolating a group of women from their families, friends, and careers, then “eliminating” them one by one, a maniacal lady killer brings his final two “bachelorettes” to a deserted mansion, where only one will come out alive. Of course, if we’re viewing The Bachelor as an extended slasher movie, then Monday night’s “After the Final Rose” represented the climactic scene where our heroine wreaked bloody (verbal) revenge on her tormentor.

"The Bachelor" finale is upon us. Who did Brad Womack choose, Emily Maynard or Chantal O'Brien?
After the family meet-and-greet, two final dates and a supremely awkward conversation about being a father, Brad finally proposed to Emily Maynard and she said yes. Chantal was heartbroken.
But let's see how we got there.
Family Matters
The part of the show that is not a video recap or a coming up montage sees Brad gazing thoughtfully off his balcony out at the beautiful Cape Town seascape. His family arrives and it's his mom Pamela, twin brother Chad (hellooooo Chad), younger brother Wes and sisters-in-law Dylan and Prima . Brad is really overwhelmed with emotion, it's quite adorable. He also assures his family that he's definitely proposing.
Chantal's Family Date
Chantal's outgoing vibrant personality goes over big with the brothers. She tells them she initially had doubts about Brad both choosing or not choosing,...

Emily Maynard, an event planner from West Virginia, captured the heart of Brad Womack and made him propose to her in several weeks. "The Bachelor", who did not find love the first time he was on the show, finally decided to pop the question to Emily and to deliver the bad news to Chantal O'Brien.
Brad said before standing on the altar, "I have never been more confident that I have made the right decision, found the right girl." He first called Chantal and told her, "It's simply a matter of me having stronger feelings for somebody else." Chantal cried and said, "You're an amazing person and Emily's very lucky. It just sucks 'cuz I felt so strongly." She was sent home in a white limo.
And then it came to Emily who wore a golden Tadashi Shoji gown. "You look stunning. It's not the first time you've taken my breath away,...

“Two women, one man and his decision of a lifetime”: It’s the season finale of “The Bachelor.” “The Bachelor’s” Brad Womack mulled over whom he loved enough to put a ring on it: Would he pick Chantal or Emily?
But, first things first… What does mom think?
On the final episode of the reality show, Chantal and Emily met Brad’s family, which flew to Capetown, South Africa from Austin, Texas to help him make the right decision.

There’s something especially horrifying about The Bachelor‘s “Women Tell All” episode. It’s like watching an hour of Oprah‘s “Favorite Things,” only with Chris Harrison as the ringleader, and instead of getting excited about free merchandise, the audience roars its approval as a small group of women turn on one of their own, pulling the verbal equivalent of stoning her in the public square.
On Monday night’s episode, it was single mom Michelle who spent the most time in the “hot seat” (aka The Bachelor equivalent of the stocks). But a funny thing happened as hardened bartender Stacey,...

The special kicks off with a rehash of the season so far between Brad and Chris Harrison. It's boring and does not shed any extra light on the season. Bloop bloop bloop.
At the reunion special, Chris starts the reunion with footage from a "Bachelor" franchise party from New York plus talk of "Bachelor Pad 2," which is going to air this summer. We see all the greatest hits - Vienna, Rozlyn, Kasey the Heart Protector, Wes, Ashleigh, Krisily and Gia, who basically calls Vienna a skank, which - we aren't going to argue with you.
It's finally time for the actual Women Tell All portion of the evening. Here are some highlights:
Ashley H. has some seriously dark hair, which I'm not sure about yet. It's a dramatic change. The women descend on Michelle like hyenas on a gazelle carcass and it's pretty wonderful. Michelle can insist she's "funny" and...

Former "Bachelor" contestants Gia Allemand and Vienna Girardi, who were friendly on the ABC show when they were trying to win Jake Pavelka's heart, are now sending vicious messages to each other via their Twitter accounts.
Both women are potential candidates for the next "Bachelorette" season, and Allemand declared herself the frontrunner when she implied Girardi was already dating former "Bacherlorette" contestant Wes Hayden.
"I guess I can hope to be the Bachelorette now that Wes is dating Vienna!

The Bachelor’s Brad Womack, the man who notoriously rejected both finalists, wants another chance at love and lucky for him (and us?), ABC is more than willing to make that happen. But are the single women of America ready to forgive and forget? Not exactly. ABC’s new promo for the upcoming season reveals that the emotional wounds Brad inflicted on our hearts back in 2007 still haven’t quite healed. Acting on behalf of jilted women everywhere, one of his potential soul-mates-to-be left her mark — and possibly a hand print — during their in-no-way-rehearsed introduction. Check it out below.

The swimsuit model and Hayden appeared to confirm their feelings for each other at the ABC show's finale on Monday night when they shared a kiss in front of the audience.
