Maura McHugh lives in Galway, Ireland and writes across a variety of media, including prose, theatre, film/TV, video games, and comic books specializing in horror/science fiction. She has a MA in screenwriting, and her short story 'Bone Mother' was adapted as a stop-motion animated short film by See Creature animation in Canada. She's written three collections, Twisted Fairy Tales, Twisted Myths, and The Boughs Withered (When I Told Them My Dreams), and comic books for American and European publishers, most recently Judge Anderson for 2000 AD. She also writes non-fiction and appears on podcasts and radio, where she interviews, reviews, and discusses pop culture.
