Jennifer Rivera(III)
- Producer
- Script and Continuity Department
Born and raised in the Bronx, NY, Jennifer Rivera began her career in television in 1995 (while still in HS) at BRONXnet TV. Each day after school, she would take the bus and head to the studio to prepare the scripts and roll teleprompter for the news anchors on the borough's first daily cable-news broadcast, "BXNY". Eventually, after seeing the viable market, News12TheBronx began a 24-hour news channel in June, 98. After becoming a regularly requested videographer for reporters and the sports team (a highlight was covering the '99 Yankees World Series Win), Jennifer rose to become the Production Coordinator for BRONXnet's evening live, including Bronx-Lebabnon's weekly "HealthBeat" show, Gary Axelbank's "BronxTalk", Rich Mancuso's "Keep It In The Ring" and Glenis Henriquez's "Teens Talk". In 2000, Jennifer expanded to Public Relations and Marketing at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center. A highlight of her time there was producing the hospital's weekly call-in show, as well as four films that premiered at the hospital's yearly gala, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Temple of Dendur in New York City. Eventually, Jennifer once again broadened her skillset, accepting positions as VP of Development at esteemed NY Institutions, while still working on independent short films and music videos, including award nominated, "Even the Score", "Friends and Strangers", and "Peeled Grapes". She was also a Producer/AD for Mayaeni's "Hesitation" video, Sinem Saniye's "Are We In Love" video, and Production/Talent Assistant on Def Jam's Wu Massacre "Our Dreams" video and "Pass the Patron" by Tony Yayo feat. 50 Cent. Jennifer is still involved behind the scenes with productions and hopeful that she will manifest a her final dream of working on a Q-Tip video.
