Ryan McDermott is a BBC 3 Funny Hunt award-winning writer/director who
in 2009 started his career by co-writing and produced one of the UK's
most successful horror comedy short films, the multi-award-winning Mark Macready and the Archangel Murders.
After the film screened at festivals across the globe including Cannes
& New York, Ryan went on to secure a London literary agent and co-write
two drafts of a feature film version for Magnet Films.
In 2013, Ryan set up his own production company "Gone Shootin' Films"
and produced STAFF ROOM, an independent sitcom pilot. A trailer for the
pilot was released online and soon went viral racking up over 25,000
hits which lead to the show receiving a 5 episode commission.
Ryan has just co-written and directed the first series of Staff Room,
which is now in post production and will be released in late 2014.
