Health officials have called an advert by the activist group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) "irresponsible". The group's poster, seen in Gloucester, reads 'Not Ready to Meat Your Maker? Fight Obesity: Go Vegan'. The message is displayed over an image of a coffin pasty. Obesity groups are outraged with Tam Fry of the National Obesity Forum stating: "The premise behind the wording is completely wrong, it's irresponsible [and] it should be taken down immediately." She added: "I might suggest that the Advertising Standards Authority might have a thing or two to say about it too."
