Nightbeasts is a creature feature which has played at several film festivals, including the Independent Film Quarterly Film Festival. The film stars Gremlins (1984) actor Zach Galligan. Other castmates include: Robert Miano, Chad Trager and Holly Wilson. The film has already had a theatrical release. And now, Nightbeasts is available on video-on-demand, through Vimeo's online platform. The film involves a father and son camping trip. On their hike, they encounter something in the brush, which is part human and part ape. Charles (Galligan) tries to protect his boy, but this creature follows them throughout a range of mountains. Local legends tell tales of the Sasquatch and Charles must face this beast, if the wants to survive this deadly encounter in the woods. The last time 28Dla had heard from Nightbeasts the film had won "Best in Genre (Horror)" at the Midnight Black Festival of Darkness. The good news continues as Wes Sullivan has recently announced that his film has received foreign distribution through Wonderphil Productions. Those lucky enough to live in Europe and other territories will be able to view the film in a limited theatrical run followed by multiple secondary releases on home video, video-on-demand and television. Those located domestically or in North America will have to wait just a little longer as the film is currently in negotiations with multiple partners for a showing in Canada and the United States.

Wes Sullivan's first feature in the director's chair, Nightbeasts, has been making waves with several appearances at film festivals. Sullivan has also picked up several awards on his festival tour and his latest win is at the Midnight Black Festival of Darkness in Los Angeles. Here, Nightbeasts won Best in Genre (Supernatural) for its creature feature involving a father and son camping trip that goes very wrong. On their journey they come across an ancient Native American legend that is over seven feet, hairy and full of scares. The showing of this film at this latest festival will be held up until November 5th.

The B Movie Celebration is getting ready to kick off its latest round of films September 23rd. Over thirty films will be in attendance from the zombie thriller Beverley Lane to the creature feature Millenium Bug. As well, several guests will be in attendance including director Kevin Tunney (Night of the Demons) and Tony Randel of Hellbound: Hellraiser 2 fame. Several features will have their World Premiere hosted at Franklin including Camel Spiders, Dino Wolf, and Night Claws. Also several films from the past will be in attendance e.g Killer Clowns from Outer Space. Sasquatch-ploitation features, the staple of B Movie film festivals, will be showing including Night Claws and Nightbeasts.

Wes Sullivan is providing some early news on the Independent Film Quarterly Film Festival. This year, the Sasquatch centered Nightbeasts will be in attendance February 24th at 9:30pm. This is one of the only films to announce participation in this event, as the the official selections for the 2011 film festival have not officially been announced.
