A former high-flying businesswoman named Maxine (Brittany Birch) follows her born-again husband Paul (Joe Edward Metcalfe) to a Southern Baptist seminary, after their marriage suffers infidelity. There she enrolls as a student at the Homemaking House, the nation’s premier training ground for wifely duties, facilitated by frenetic Terri (Kirsten Fitzgerald) and shared with her roommate Beth (Alexandra Chopson). When Beth’s fiancee Dusty (Adam Shalzi) arrives, his presence is surprisingly counter intuitive. Meanwhile, Max and Paul remain married.
