Wendy Loomis is an award-winning San Francisco-based composer, pianist, producer, and educator. She has released 18 CDs and performs nationally and internationally with various ensembles in the genres of poetic jazz, new age, and world music. To date she has composed scores for 3 independent films and had her music featured in a 4th. In November 2019, Ms. Loomis premiered her work 'What if We?' at the Art of Resistance expo at the World Bank in Washington DC. The work was written in collaboration with the science team at ClimateMusic Project and poetic jazz band Copus (for whom Wendy composes, performs, and is the music director). Her works have been performed by flute and string ensembles, SATB chord, at a U.S./Cuba collaborative event in Havana. Ms. Loomis has merited awards and nominations for her music from ASCAP, Clouzine International Music Awards, Hollywood Music and Media Awards, and the Unisong International Song Competition. She is a voting member for the Grammy Awards and has had her works on the ballot five times. Wendy studies martial arts, yoga, spiritualism, and enjoys travel for inspiration (49 U.S. States & 32 countries, so far).
