Prida Moreza
- Actress
Prida Moreza is originally from Chihuahua, Mexico. Prida comes from a
college family; Ricardo--a Ph.D. in Finance, and Lilia--an MBA in Civil
Engineering. Imagine the look of shock on her parents' faces when she
decided to go for the Arts. As a toddler, she was already a compulsive
performer, re-enacting TV shows for her family's amusement, but she
decided to focus her energy on sports. After training in swimming for
nine years at the Chihuahua YMCA and having a successful career in
sports competing in Nationals and International competitions, she
decided to pursue a college degree in Biology at Utep in El Paso, TX.
However, she heeded her true calling in acting when she beat more than
500 other girls at a talent search audition.
Prida eventually booked some independent films in El Paso and auditioned for Guillermo Arriaga for his upcoming film, The Burning Plain. After tasting the possibility of better and greater projects, she decided to move to California. Prida went on to study acting at the Ivana Chubbuck Studio with Deryl Carroll. She studied the Meisner technique for two years and underwent extensive improvisation training.
She landed her first acting gig in a play called The Diary of a School Drop Out, followed by a featured role in a Project Runway Spot. She recently appeared in the film Death of the Sheik, playing one of her idols, Charlie Chaplin. She has also worked alongside renown actors, like Vlad Kozlov, and has starred in indie features, such as Weekend, L.A. Traffic, City Limits, and Shadow. She portrayed La Sayona in the The Mountain Wailer. Her upcoming projects include the web series Featherweight and the documentary The Lap Band Surgery Effects.
