Film student Andres Vergara's short film landed the Mexican-born filmmaker a job with a visual effects house working on the blockbuster movie the Immortals. Not bad for a first job right out of college.
The 22 year-old joined the team at Vancouver's Image Engine right out of Vancouver Film School. The Mexico City transplant has gained impressive cred working on three big Hollywood films for the award-winning studio- The Thing, Immortals, and the much-anticipated game turned movie Battleship.
