There are actors like Sri Vishnu involved, displaying all the honesty and sincerity that an aspiring star has before he loses it all after making it big. And then, there is the need to squeeze the resources to the best use they can be put to. KollywoodAccording to the industry grapevine, producer Kalaipuli S Thanu has acquired the Tamil remake rights of the film and has plans to make it with Dhanush.Digital NativeDigital NativeSree Vishnu’s Telugu drama Needi Naadi Oke Katha, which explores the relationship between a father and son in the most moving way, released in cinemas last week and opened to positive word of mouth. According to the industry grapevine, producer Kalaipuli S Thanu has acquired the Tamil remake rights of the film and has plans to make it with Dhanush. Directed by debutante, Venu Udugula, the movie features ‘Bichagadu’ fame Satna Titus as the female lead. The film has music by Suresh Bobbili, and is being jointly produced by Prashanti and Krishna Vijay. In the film, Sree Vishnu plays an incapable son who can’t live up to the expectations of his father and the society. Without taking the commercial route, the film managed to make an impact thanks to its highly relatable story and earnest performances, especially by Sree Vishnu. “It is true that Thanu sir has acquired the remake rights and he plans to rope in Dhanush in the titular role as he feels it would be perfect for him. Dhanush is yet to be approached and the talks will be initiated soon, but he has a commitment to work with Thanu after VIP 2,” a source said. Dhanush is not new to remakes. Over the years, he has starred Telugu remakes of films such as Arya, Aadavari Matalaku Arthale Verule and Ready among others. On the career front, Dhanush is currently busy shooting for Maari 2, in which he returns as a dhoti-clad, moustache-twirling rowdy. As he awaits the release of Enai Noki Paayum Thota and his maiden Hollywood film The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakhir, he’s also gearing up for the shoot of his second directorial in which he will also play the lead. The project is expected to roll from this summer. He’s also expected to reunite with Ranjhanaa director Anand L Rai for his third Hindi outing later this year. (Content provided by Digital Native)...
