Sven Nys
Sven Nys was born on 17 June, 1976 in Bonheiden, Belgium. Being unanimously regarded as the best cyclocross (CX) rider of all time, Nys became UCI Cyclocross World Champion two times: in 2005 and 2013. He achieved a record 292 victories in cyclocross. He took part in the mountainbiking event at the 2008 Olympics, finishing in eighth place. In off-road cycling, mainly his technical skill on the bike stood out. He was a professional cyclist between 1998 and 2016, and then became team manager of his own (cyclocross) cycling team: Baloise-Trek Lions.
