The "Bachelor" franchise may not have sparked very many trips down the aisle for the main stars and chosen winners from the reality dating shows, but it's well known that alums from both the male and female iterations get together all the time for parties and mingling.
Which means that several couples have spawned from "The Bachelor/ette" shows, made up of people who were from two different seasons -- Chris Lambton/Peyton Wright and Blake Julian/Holly Durst have both tied the knot and now it's another couple's turn.
Elizabeth Kitt, of Jake Pavelka's "Bachelor" season, and Ty Brown, of Ali Fedotowsky's "Bachelorette" season, were married Saturday (March 15) in Kingston Spring, Tenn.
"The ceremony took place yesterday in our barn on our wooded property," the couple tells Us Weekly. "We had just immediate family in attendance. We wrote our own vows, so the ceremony was very intimate and personal.

As Bachelor fans wait to see whether Juan Pablo Galavis chooses Nikki or Clare on Monday's Final Rose episode, at least one contestant has already moved on after being dumped by the Venezuelan hottie.
Single mom Renee Oteri, 32, who Galavis said goodbye to after their hometown date, is engaged to Bracy Maynard, a guy she's known since she was 12. But she's not the only former contestant to find love off-camera.
While newly engaged former Bachelorette Emily Maynard is hoping that the fourth time is the charm, and two-time contestant Kacie Boguskie is engaged, these former contestants have also found their happily ever after.

Another Bachelor wedding is on the way! The Bachelor's Elizabeth Kitt is engaged to fellow reality star Ty Brown, the couple confirms to Us Weekly. Kitt was featured on Jake Pavelka's Season 14 and went on to appear in Bachelor Pad Season 1. Brown appeared on Ali Fedotowsky's The Bachelorette Season 6. Kitt and Brown first met years ago at a charity event in L.A. and have been dating since January of this year. The couple may have been keeping their romance private, but they've already bought [...]...

Jesse Kovacs has accused fellow Bachelor Pad contestant Elizabeth Kitt of speaking badly about him online. Talking with Us Weekly, the 28-year-old accused Kitt of writing negative blog entries on her fan site under a pseudonym in which she refers to him as a "douche bag" and made "attacks" on his character. "Friends were calling me all day telling me that they were reading things about me online that Elizabeth had been saying," he explained. "Honestly, she is entitled to say whatever she wants about herself, just as long as she doesn't try to attack my character. When she starts talking about my personal life, that's where I draw the line." He continued: "I am absolutely 100% positive that it is her and her best friend. I think it's (more)...

David Good and Natalie Getz split the $250,000 "Bachelor Pad" prize on Monday night's show, taking the money away from Tenley Molzahn and Kiptyn Locke, even though the latter were the ones who brought David and Natalie into the final four. The final challenge of the competition had been a "Dancing with the Stars"-type of dance off with the final three couples competing for the roses. The winners not only got to go on to the final four, but they got to pick the couple that went with them. "I wasn't as surprised as some people [that they chose Natalie and me] because I had got Kiptyn through two rounds by really working strategically with him and pulling for him, and getting people to swing votes a certain way," Dave tells Et. "…Kiptyn knew that and Tenley knew that. That is one of the reasons they are such stand-up people. I do think that Elizabeth [Kitt] and...

Last night, $250,000 was handed out on the season finale of " Bachelor Pad " -- so who won? After a " Dancing with the Stars "-themed competition, Elizabeth Kitt and Jesse Kovacs were eliminated -- leaving Tenley Molzahn and Kiptyn Locke to face off against Natalie Getz and David Good ( pictured ) for a spot in the finals. The latter duo won the next round after answering a firing squad of questions from eliminated contestants -- but the money wasn't theirs just yet. There was one more surprise. The two were separated and given the chance to share or keep the total winnings. If they both said "Share," they'd split the money. If one picked "Share," the other "Keep," the one who picked "Keep" got it all. If they both said "Keep," neither would get the money -- but it'd be divided between the other contestants. In the end, Natalie and David both said...

Bachelor Pad saved its best for last if nothing else. The season finale had so many twists and turns, it was actually sort of interesting and we were happy with the result.
Three couples were still in contention at the start - Jesse Kovacs and Elizabeth Kitt, Kiptyn Locke and Tenley Molzahn, and David Good and Natalie Getz? Who would win?
Let some shameless cross promotion for Dancing With the Stars decide!
Could Dave Good and Natalie Getz pull off the upset?
The couples must learn ballroom dancing, taught by Dwts pros, then perform for judges - Melissa Rycroft, Jake Pavelka and Trista Sutter. To the winner go the roses.
Kiptyn and Tenley win. Jake is still an absolute stiff, and Melissa still looks like she can't possibly be pregnant. Next up is yet another classic rip-off of Big Brother.
As a reward for winning, not only is KipTen safe,...

Bachelor Pad co-stars Elizabeth Kitt and Jesse Kovacs have revealed that they have ended their relationship. The pair - who worked together on the ABC romance reality show - confirmed that they had gone their separate ways on Monday night's season finale. When asked if they were together by host Chris Harrison, Kitt replied: "No. He's single. If anyone wants to date a player here you go!" Co-host Melissa Rycroft then asked what had happened, to which Kitt said: "I feel like he gave me reason to believe that he felt a certain way about me but behind the scenes he was saying I had a screw loose." Rycroft then questioned Kovacs on whether he had been following a strategy in the house. "I went on there because it's a competition to win $$250,000 (more)...

Dave Good and Natalie Getz have shared the prize on Bachelor Pad. The couple triumphed in the season finale of the ABC romance reality over fellow finalists Tenley Molzahn and Kiptyn Locke. Third-placed pair Elizabeth Kitt and Jesse Kovacs were eliminated earlier in the episode. Dave and Natalie opted to share the $$250,000 prize after being given the option of either playing to take home the entire amount or splitting it evenly between them. The episode opened with a Dancing With The Stars-themed challenge which saw the final three couples teamed with a Dancing professional to learn a ballroom dance. Dave and Natalie were paired with Louis van Amstel and given the cha cha, Tenley and Molzahn had Chelsie Hightower and the foxtrot, while Elizabeth and Jesse were partnered with Edyta Sliwinska and tackled a rumba. We've reached the end of the road, 'Bachelor Pad' fans -- the finale to end all finales, full of tears, ballroom dancing and ... more tears. But thankfully no pie!
The first half of the episode kept up some pretense of the competition/rose-giving hooplah, but the second half was full of all the bitchy, backstabbing drama that we've come to expect from a 'Bachelor' reunion show.
Accusations were slung, Elizabeth dyed her hair again, and $250,000 was awarded to ... someone. Join us after the jump to dissect all the drama from our final foray into the 'Bachelor Pad'.

What happened on the finale of "Bachelor Pad"?
Challenge
It's the "Dancing With the Stars" promotional event! The couples are ballroom dancing, each with the help of a "Dwts" pro. Elizabeth at least has the self-awareness to warn Kovacs that if he drools over their hot pro, she will go nuts on him (I may be paraphrasing).
Kiptyn/Tenley get Chelsie Hightower and the fox trot and I'm with Tenley -- Love Chelsie. Elizabeth and Kovacs get Edyta Sliwinska and the rumba -- snerk, she's hot. And of course, in his first interview he can't hardly keep his tongue in his mouth about how hot Edyta is. Dave and Natalie get Louis Van Amstel and the cha-cha.
Dave is remarkably cool about dancing with Louis to learn the steps, while Edyta is draping herself all over Kovacs and Elizabeth is trying not to light them on fire with her stare.

On the "Bachelor Pad" finale on Monday night, one lucky couple won $250,000, but there was a twist. Would they split the money, or would just one of them get to keep the whole thing, or would greed cause them to lose it and have the money divided equally among their fellow contestants? Happily, neither Natalie Getz nor David Good were greedy, so they each walked away with $125,000 and the beginning of a relationship. When the "Bachelor Pad" finale began, there were three couples remaining: Tenley Molzahn and Kiptyn Locke, Elizabeth Kitt and Jesse Kovacs, and Natalie and David Good, but only two of the couples would move on to the possibility of winning $250,000. In homage to "Dancing with the Stars," which premieres next Monday, the three couples were asked to compete in a ballroom dancing contest. Tenley and Kiptyn were trained by "Dwts"' professional dancer Chelsie Hightower for the foxtrot,...

"In the history of me teaching as a pro, I've never heard head a woman ask, 'Please, grab my boobs, it's safer,'" said Dancing With the Stars pro Louis Van Amstel. Well, he'd never worked with the finalists from Bachelor Pad before, had he? In a very convenient bit of synergy, the final three couples on ABC's Bachelor/Bachelorette spinoff were coached in the art of ballroom by Dwts pros and then judged by Melissa Rycroft, Trista Rehn and—poor Tenley—Jake Pavelka for a shot at two roses and a hefty helping of power. "You guys are dating!" Jake squealed gleefully after Jesse Kovacs and Elizabeth Kitt (who, ahem, was desperately hoping to "prove that...

Bachelor Pad - ABC, 8 - Season finale. We're down to three couples--Tenley and Kiptyn, David and Natalie, Elizabeth and Kovacs. These young sexy things with their weird names will don flashy Dwts-esque outfits for a dance-off that will (somehow) help predict the winning duo. Oh, and there's a reunion of all 19 contestants. Terron Moore has got you covered.

Tonight is the season finale of Bachelor Pad. What? Already? Someone pinch me because this must be a Nightmare. Why would ABC give us such a powerful and magical gift, only to steal it away again so soon? The world can be so cruel sometimes.
Ah, well. I think I'll survive--barely. And at least we have two more hours of bitchering (that's the word I just made up for bickering bitches) and one last idiotic challenge to tide us over until Bachelor Pad returns next summer. (Fingers crossed! And hope I don't die of anticipation-itis in the meantime!)
So this is the end. That means it's time to bring back all the crazy characters who made this season so profoundly unlikable and make them rehash all the flimsy drama no one cares about for one last time.
Which means: What's new with Michelle? Is she still crazy? (Yep.) How about...

Then at the finale reunion show, check out Michelle unleashing her crazy eyes all over Tenley. Don't make Disney Princess cry, Michelle! And finally, have you been worried about Gia and Wes? Well, Gia doesn't have a boyfriend anymore! What will Wes do?

This week started off with a hefty helping of drama on Bachelor Pad. We had 11 contestants in the house -– seven women and four men -– and as we promised the contestants would happen, the time finally came when we had to level the playing field. In the world of Bachelor Pad, that meant saying goodbye to three women at the top of the show so that there would be an even number of men and women left. The panic that came over the girls was palpable as they all packed their bags and readied for the "spin the bottle" challenge.

Sorry this is going up so late, there were some DVR issues. But here we are with the "Bachelor Pad" recap.
Triple Elimination
If you missed the first 20 minutes, never fear -- the evening of the guys and girls was completely anticlimactic and boring. Instead of having some kind of competition between the remaining seven girls, they just let the guys pick. So even though they interviewed the guys and pretended like they were really hemming and hawing over their choice, it turned out exactly how you expected. Kiptyn picked Tenley, Kovacs picks Elizabeth, Jesse B. picked Peyton and Dave picked Natalie. Lame. The only interesting thing is now they are competing as couples.
Competition
Kovacs and Elizabeth are convinced the competition will be a how-you-know-your-partner type thing. And it turns out Kovacs knows a lot about Elizabeth and Elizabeth can't remember s*** about Kovacs. God, she is dumb. Sorry,...

Things obviously got very interesting very quickly this episode. You could hear a pin drop when I walked in and dropped the bomb on the cast that three girls would be going home immediately. Remember, I told them the first day we moved in that this moment would be coming. I’m not sure if they forgot, or just didn’t see it coming, but they were all caught by surprise.

['Bachelor Pad' - 'Two's Company']
In the words of David -- and The Fresh Prince -- this week the game got "flipped, turned upside down," (seriously, was I the only one who flashed back to the '90s?) as all of the contestants were paired into couples for the remainder of the game. I guess Gia and the other outsiders were on to something all along ... who'd have thunk?
This was a dream come trouble for established couples like Tenley and Kiptyn, and Elizabeth and Kovacs, but for the floaters? Not so much. As is 'Bachelor Pad' tradition, there were tears within the first five minutes of the episode, and the drama certainly didn't stop there.

Things got a little skanky on the latest 'Bachelor Pad' (Mon., 8Pm Et on ABC). And by "skanky" we mean that we've reached a "rolling around and making out on the trunk of a car" level of sluttiness. It's all courtesy of Elizabeth and Kovacs, one of our four final couples on the show. (Though by the end of the night, the number of couples would be paired down to three.)
[Spoiler alert.]
Before we even reached this point, three of the "excess" ladies were booted from the show. It came as no big surprise that they were all women who hadn't "coupled up" with a dude. So, Nikki, Gwen, and Ashley were eliminated early on. That left us with four couples -- who then had to play a game of water balloon toss to see who would win some roses and a "special date."

"Bachelor Pad" is getting exciting -- not only are three women getting axed right out of the gate, but it looks like there is an illicit use of the Fantasy Suite coming.
But first, Dave assures Kiptyn, Kovacs and Jesse B. that he didn't lie to Krisily. While maybe he didn't flat-out lie, he certainly wasn't straight with her. He got her vote and assured her she was safe, but did he do anything to help her when he found out she was in trouble? Nope.
It also looks like there is some kind of "know your partner" competition, since Elizabeth and Kovacs are quizzing each other. Except apparently Elizabeth's memory is as bad as her boob job, since she can remember absolutely nothing about him.
But why should that stop you from shacking up? It shouldn't, especially when there's a Fantasy Suite on the premises going unused. Oh,...

On Monday’s Bachelor Pad, contestants had to anonymously fill out a survey with more than 50 questions about their fellow contestants, then, in a challenge, publicly reveal what they assumed the majority of the house had answered. For each correct guess, they got a point. Only seven questions made it to air, and two of them — “Who will be a bridesmaid but never a bride?” (Natalie) and “Who has the worst boob job?” (Elizabeth) — sent women sobbing throughout the house. EW asked ABC for the full results. Below, the contestants’ consensus on 43 of the questions. (Producers opted not to share some of the answers.

We got a taste of the evening up of the men and women during Monday night's (Aug. 30) previews for next week, but now we have an extended "Bachelor Pad" sneak peek where host Chris Harrison informs the group that it's time for three women to leave.
The morning after Wes and Krisily left (presumably), the houseguests are informed that the women need to pack their bags and that Chris will be back soon to eliminate three women. The girls freak out about it and it makes us wonder if they way the women are eliminated is a competition or a vote?

Misplaced trust and her outspokenness are the two things that Krisily Kennedy says were responsible for her elimination on last night's "Bachelor Pad." Now, Et speaks to the ousted bachelorette to get the lowdown on her relationship with David Good, the questionnaire competition, and more. So, I really trusted him. I had been nervous at every single rose ceremony. That one I felt pretty safe in and I wasn't. I was lied to." Krisily had more than just faith in David. Hi everyone! I’ve had a lot of giggles along the way as I have watched the different challenges our Bachelor Pad contestants have endured -- like last week's kissing contest. But I must confess to you that this week’s challenge was very difficult. I had a feeling going in that the questions being asked would evoke some emotional responses. And boy, was I right. When folks were with Chris Harrison and me, they were able to keep it together pretty well. But once they got into the house, the floodgates opened up and I can’t blame them.

Bachelor Pad eliminee Krisily Kennedy has suggested that Jesse Kovacs, Elizabeth Kitt, Tenley Molzahn and Kiptyn Locke will be the final four contestants because no-one has the strength to break them up. The 30-year-old from Los Angeles was voted off alongside Wes Hayden on last night's episode of the ABC romance reality show. She had appeared to feel safe after a conversation with Dave in which he suggested that Kiptyn would be voting for Gwen and not her. However, Kiptyn eventually voted for Krisily on the basis that Gwen had not done anything wrong that would warrant her exit. "I'm just angry, I'm not going to cry," said Krisily when the result was announced. "I was told one thing and voted a certain way because of it. I laid my faith in some people tonight that clearly weren't there for me. I've been nothing but honest (more)...

Upset over Gia's elimination, Wes Hayden accused pretty much everyone else of being fake. You knew he was going to get bounced as a result, but ... Team Wes!
Honestly, this guy is the only one who understands it's a game first and a relationship show second. Not even ABC appears to realize this about its confusing program.
Then again, Wes is back in Texas gettin' nibbles on his pole, and we're sitting here recapping it while the couples vie for $250,000, so who are we to talk strategy?
Jesse Beck wins immunity in the meanest way possible.
Things got more entertaining, albeit in a very high school way, when the Pad unveiled the most ruthless challenge ever, surveying the contestants about the others.
"Who is the meanest" or the "worst liar" or has "the worst boob job" ... feelings will be hurt. Except Chris Harrison's, that is. The host-pimp does it all straight-faced.

Before we get into the tears and drama of the Pad I want to first thank you for watching our new show and making it a success. I also want to thank those of you that joined me Sunday on the Emmy red carpet on TV Guide Network. (While I’m thanking people, a quick shout out to Chris Lambton, Jesse B., and Peyton for joining me last week in North Carolina and helping raise money for cancer research and the Jimmy V foundation.) This episode started with an inside look at the fallout from last week’s elimination. Wes...

On "Bachelor Pad," Krisily gets played and the ugly truth comes out.
Post-Vote
Wes wants to have it out about how everybody is so fake and Dave gets in his face and since neither of them can string a coherent sentence together, it's a lot of "Or what?!" Heh. Before it gets to ridiculous, the Surveys of Truth arrive. It looks to be about 50 questions about the other houseguests. This should be an amazing competition. As Krisily says, "It's gonna get nasty."
The Nasty Truth
The idea is people guess who the majority of the house said. Each time you get it right, you get a point. First person to four points wins. We wish the win total was more, four points is not very much.
Anyway, question one is who is going to win? Most people guess Kiptyn and that's the right answer. Next is who is your biggest enemy?...

After eliminating Jonathan Novack (the weatherman) and Gia Allemand on last week's "Bachelor Pad," this week the action kicked off with the bachelors and bachelorettes confronting the issues that were making it difficult for them to get along. Wes Hayden and David Good went at it hot and heavy, which left both men determined to get the women to vote the other one out. Then the competitors were asked to fill out a questionnaire, which asked them to rate the others in the house. The next morning, after the votes were tallied, the bachelors and bachelorettes were put to the test and asked to guess how the majority voted. Here are some sample questions and answers: Who do most of you believe is going to win? Answer: Kipytn Locke. Who is your biggest enemy? Answer: Krisily Kennedy. Who is the most shallow? Answer: Elizabeth Kitt. Who is the dumbest? Answer: Gwen Gioia.

Hi gang! A lot of you felt that last week we walked up to the line of what viewers want to see on TV with the graphic pie-eating contest. Well this week, we got even closer to the line with the much-anticipated kissing contest. We at Bachelor Pad like to bring you all the action up close and personal -- for better or worse! We saw messy kisses, passionate kisses and downright gross kisses. I can’t wait to hear what you all thought of it. It was interesting to see some of the girls struggle with kissing and being...

"Bachelor Pad" introduced two interesting facets this week -- a Kissing Contest and Fantasy Suites.
Voting Aftermath
Gia calls Nikki out in front of the entire house for flipping from Kiptyn to Craig. Gia completely blames Nikki, which is a bit rich since if she had stuck to the rose plan and not given into Country Wes-tern, Craig would still be there and "The Outsiders" would still have the numbers.
Hope Your Shots are Current
The competition this episode is a Kissing Contest. Wow. Everybody has to kiss everybody else (the kissees are blindfolded) and then they vote on the best male and best female kissers. Hilariously, everybody thinks they're going to win -- because everybody thinks they're a good kisser. Everybody always thinks that -- and it rarely proves true.
The girls are blindfolded first and Elizabeth is creepily commenting and moaning while she gets kissed. She then...

Last week we had a sneak peek clip from "Bachelor Pad" that showed the kissing contest -- Elizabeth took her turn and Kovacs had to pretend he cared. This week we have another clip; it's Wes' turn in the kissing booth.
Wes describes Tenley as "sloppy," Natalie as "violent" and Peyton is the nicest -- "dry, thank goodness." Wes' comment that he doesn't like a girl going in for the kill unless he's "really hammered" had us rolling. He takes the perfect comedic pause, it's really his best work on this show ever.
Speaking of his "best work," the next sneak peek clip shows Wes at it again with his guitar and "Love, It's Don't Come Easy." Yes, love does not come easy -- especially if you play the same song for another girl on what is essentially the same television show. Gia cannot be unaware that Wes did this for Jillian,...

Not only does "Bachelor Pad" have people hooking up in the house under their own free will, but now they have unleashed a kissing competition on the house.
In the first sneak peek clip, the houseguests are told about the competition -- with host Chris Harrison joking about people brushing their teeth. Ew. The men are going to line up first and the girls are blindfolded, then they switch. The guy and girl with the most votes for best kisser wins the competition.
In the second clip, Elizabeth is led out to the competition. Kovacs is standing in line (obviously) and claims that it doesn't bother him, which is probably true since he's only her "boyfriend" because she threatened him into it. Either way, this Monday's show looks pretty exciting.
"Bachelor Pad" airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. Et on ABC.

Bachelor Pad eliminee Jessie Sulidis has suggested that Elizabeth Kitt is currently dominating the house. The former Bachelor contestant - who appeared alongside Kitt on Jake Pavelka's season of the show - was eliminated from the ABC competition on Monday night's instalment. When asked by Digital Spy who she thinks is the biggest gameplayer or strategist, she replied: "I think Elizabeth, as much as people are calling her crazy. I think she really had control over the house. "A lot of us are really good friends with her and trust her so I think right now she is the one who is dominating the house." Bachelor Pad host Chris Harrison has said that a comparison can be made between the show and high school. The ABC romance reality competition features former Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants living together in a house as they compete for a $$250,000 prize and the chance to find love. Writing on his Entertainment Weekly blog, the host said: "The main thing we learned this week is that Bachelor Pad is really high school all over again. "Within a matter of days the house has been completely divided between the insiders, or "cool kids", and the outsiders, or "others" as they've been called." He also suggested that Elizabeth is currently "in control of the game", adding: "She has absolutely (more)...

(Season 1, Episode 2) This week, in the house that promiscuity built, our fearless 'Bachelor Pad' contestants were forced to face pies, body painting and the separation of church and state -- or the separation of "cool kids" and "outsiders," because they're still under the illusion that they're competing on 'Big Brother'.
Two clear alliances have already formed; those who have pre-existing relationships on Planet 'Bachelor/ette' such as Elizabeth/Kovacs, and the "outsiders" who came in with no strings attached. Most of the episode was then devoted to the two groups giving each other the stink-eye and plotting how to get members of the opposing group out when it came down to the vote.

A house divided! The game play has quickly kicked up a notch or two in Bachelor Pad this week. Before we dive into that hot tub I want to share some more good news with you this week. A couple weeks ago we all watched as Ali and Roberto got engaged; well, this week I learned about a couple more engagements in our Bachelor/Bachelorette family. Former Bachelorette DeAnna Pappas and former contestant Holly Durst got engaged to the Stagliano twins. DeAnna is engaged to Stephen and Holly to season five contestant Michael. From what I understand they are planning a double wedding this spring.

On the second episode of "Bachelor Pad," we find "The Outsiders" alliance compelling -- but just when Gia has our respect, she screws it up by falling for the "Love, It Don't Come Easy" guy.
Crazypants and Kovacs
Now that Michelle is gone, Elizabeth shall hitherto be known as "Crazypants." Anyway, Crazypants gets her way because Kovacs realizes he's better off with a partner (or he realizes that if he rebuffs her, she will stab him in his sleep poison the women against him) and decides to be with Cp.
She's my cherry pie ...
Oh, this show ... too many jokes. So the competition is pie-eating. Tenley told us earlier that we "may want to close our eyes" on this one -- and she was not lying. This is not sexy. This is disgusting. Tenley, to her credit since she seems like a Disney princess, does puke and rally, which is hardcore.

Things are getting steamy on Monday's (Aug. 16) episode of "Bachelor Pad." In the first sneak peek clip, it looks like Dave Goode and Jessie Sulidis are forming an alliance in the hot tub -- and sealing it with a kiss.
Meanwhile, when host Chris Harrison inquires about romantic relationships in the house, Elizabeth Kitt compares her "relationship" with Jesse Kovacs to Tenley Molzahn's relationship with Kiptyn Locke -- which Tenley sort of balks at because she and Kiptyn have never, ahem, consummate their relationship.
Tenley tells us of the Elizabeth situation, "Elizabeth and I are friends ... once we moved past this point that we're going to see a smidge of tonight, we were fine ... but I had said something about Elizabeth and Kovacs, knowing some of their past ... and I was comparing it to the relationship Kiptyn and I had, and I guess I said something that wasn't necessary and unfortunately,...

'The Big C' (10:30Pm, Showtime) series premiere
It's a somber topic, of course, which is why the presence of a great, likable actress like Laura Linney is key. Linney is unhappy Minneapolis housewife and teacher Cathy Jamison, whose outlook on life takes a turn when she's diagnosed with stage four cancer. The devastating news leads Cathy to commit to finding the happiness and humor in her life, which means kicking out childish hubby Paul (Oliver Platt) and trying to shape son Adam (the fantastic Gabriel Basso) into a good person in the little time she has left. Cathy also tries to reconnect with her homeless (on purpose) brother Sean (scene stealer John Benjamin Hickey), make friends with her crabby neighbor Marlene (Phyllis Somerville) and help one of her students, the sassy, overweight Andrea (Gabourey Sidibe), lose weight, while also connecting with...

Hey men! You know how it is when you're casually dating a girl, but she wants something more serious than you do, so you try to gently tell her that you should just be friends? But then you know how she inevitably takes what you said the wrong way, because she's crazy in love with you, and you're both on a reality show trying to win $250,000 and, oh yeah, she's also certifiably insane? And then you know how you're in a real pickle, because you either have to take back the truth you said so you don't lose your chance at the money, or you have to risk seriously pissing off a woman with crazy-eyes whom you literally cannot escape from because you're both trapped in a house with no phone and no way to get out? So you know how you just lie and apologize and hold her hand...

Bachelor Pad has an interesting premise. Houseguests with larger-than-life personalities living together, competing in various challenges, and ultimately voting each other out.
The problem? We already watch Big Brother.
With a few exceptions, the 19 male and female losers of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette recycled to star on Bachelor Pad were cut loose for a reason - they weren't appealing.
We've seen them plot, flirt and cry, cause (mostly contrived) drama and hook up - on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, this was entertaining. Here it's just a waste of time.
Do we really care if Jesse Kovacs hooked up with Elizabeth Kitt? They're rehashing old drama no one saw or cares about. Then again, at least we recall who those people are.
The other Jesse that Ali Fedotowsky cut loose? Who was that guy?

I’m glad I get the opportunity to continue blogging this summer. This gives me a chance to continue giving you updates on Ali and Roberto and our next Bachelor season. Speaking of which, we held a Bachelorette wrap party/Bachelor Pad premiere party last Monday night. Ali and Roberto were there, and we all watched the proposal together. It was really cool, as the entire crew was dead silent, and Ali was crying watching Roberto get down on one knee. The moment it was over, we all broke out into cheers and hugs. Very cool moment for us all.

'Bachelor Pad' (8Pm, ABC) series premiere
Lest there be a 'Bachelor'/'Bachelorette'-less period in the primetime lineup (after last week's 'Bachelorette' season finale), ABC is bringing back 19 former looking-for-love contestants and putting them together in the titular 'Bachelor' mansion, where they'll compete against in each other in a series of challenges for a shot at winning $250,000. Among the familiar faces: Ali Fedotowsky cast-offs Craig M., Jesse B. and weatherman Jonathan; Jake Pavelka reject Ashley E. (who surprised Jake by showing up in a flight attendant uniform); Pavelka rejects Elizabeth K., model Gia and spazz dancer Tenley; Aaron Burge bachelorette Gwen G.; Jillian Harris runner-up Kiptyn; and notorious 'Bachelorette' contestant Wes H., the one who admitted only going on the show to find fame. 'Bachelor' host Chris Harrison and 'Bachelor' alum Melissa Rycroft host the action, which, tonight, kicks off with a spirited game of Twister.

The Bachelor and The Bachelorette cast rejects are getting another shot at love. Or at least $250,000 in a ridiculous new reality TV competition, Bachelor Pad.
A group of cast members from seasons past will be living in that mansion once again, angling for that huge cash prize via team and individual competitions.
No, you're not being punked. This is seriously happening.
The ranks are stacked with those who sought the affections of Ali Fedotowsky, Jake Pavelka and Jillian Harris in the franchise's three most recent installments.
Wes, Kiptyn, Tenley, Gia, Crazy Dave (below), Crazy Michelle and more lead the way, with some older faces thrown in there as well to give us 19 in all.
So many others, too. Below is the list of competitors (and for the scoop on the rest of the current season, be sure to check out these Bachelorette spoilers)...

Are you on Team Tenley or Team Vienna? On Monday night, fans of "The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love" will find out for sure which bachelorette Jake Pavelka picks when the finale airs on ABC. But first, Et spoke to six of the jilted bachelorettes to have them handicap the race between Tenley Molzhan and Vienna Girardi. Ali Fedotowsky: I believe he chooses Vienna. I really do. I see a more intense connection between Vienna and Jake than Tenley and Jake. Tenley is my best friend. Love her. We were so close. We cried together, we experienced everything together. If she and Jake are engaged, I will be a bridesmaid in their wedding. I just didn't see a connection between them. Gia Allemand: I think Tenley is everyone's obvious choice. She is more like him. I think he would have a better future with Vienna to be honest.
