Here we go, "Bachelorette" fans. Emily Maynard has to choose (or not choose) between the final two men, Arie Luyendyk and Jef Holm. And for the first time ever, "After the Final Rose" is live, brought to you by the not-yet-ready-for-primetime players.
It's most likely live because of some big surprise twist -- do you think it's 'cause Emily chooses one guy initially, then pulls a Jason Mesnick? Or Jefff and Arie found love and ran off together? Or perhaps Emily fell deeply in love with Chris Harrison and they get married on the spot? (That'd be rather amazing, actually.)
Pics: 'Bachelor Pad' Season 3 contestants
We kick things off with Harrison billing this as "the most dramatic television event of the summer." Until some girl goes crazypants on "Bachelor Pad" and stabs Kalon. Or, ya know, the Olympics.
Won't be addressing the Colorado shooting shout-out -- it's weird to mention it,...

Before we start talking Bachelor Pad, I just want to say the Bachelor family is thinking about those affected by the hurricane this weekend. Our “Bachelor Gives Back” crew is already thinking of ways to help. Now let’s talk about this week’s dramatic Bachelor Pad episode. We started with the exit of Jake. He left the contestants with some very good advice: If you have any thoughts of winning this thing you have to vote out the power couples. Kasey survived the closest vote yet and as he put it, he feels he is the strongest “strategist” in the house.

Sorry there was no recap last week, I was sick for a couple days and the recapping for several shows did not get done. I did watch "Bachelor Pad" from last week and I just have to say - Kasey, please do not act like you went against Jake for "America." Like you aren't a totally disgusting person too.
And as an aside - sorry for the length of this recap. There is just too much stuff from Melissa, I couldn't stop. It's like the one time I pinch-hit recapped "Rock of Love Bus" - I wrote like a dissertation-length recap because there was so much to make fun of. Anyway.
Jake Kicks Rocks
We pick up with Jake's departure, where he encourages everybody to step up and get rid of the power couples if they want to win. He also says to Vienna, "My heart, forgiven." Kasey snots,...

We realize that the siren song better known as 'Bachelor Pad' has probably already erased any memory of this season's 'Bachelorette' and the man she chose to marry ... but that doesn't mean Ashley and Jp don't still want headlines.
The new issue of Life & Style Weekly has the exclusive scoop that Ashley Hebert and Jp Rosenbaum have already picked out their wedding rings, just a little over a week after the 'Bachelorette' finale.
"They're so excited to get married that they didn't want to wait on this detail," an insider tells Life & Style, confirming, "They already selected their Neil Lane wedding bands."
Despite the fact that the 'Bachelorette' couple isn't planning to tie the knot until 2012, they visited the Manhattan outpost of Neil Lane, jeweler to the stars, in early August.

On the "Bachelorette" finale, we watched Ashley Hebert get engaged to her final suitor, Jp Rosenbaum. With the "Bachelor Pad" premiering next week, it's only a matter of time until ABC announces who will be handing out the roses next season.
In the meantime, AccessHollywood.com breaks down the top four guys most likely to be dubbed the new "Bachelor":

We've got "Bachelorette" Ashley Hebert and all the bachelors back (minus the final two) for the most boring "Men Tell All" reunion Ever [Chris Harrison dramatic voice].
There is a video montage of the entire season with Ashley talking to Chris Harrison about it. *snore* We shall not be recapping that, even the outtakes. They just aren't that funny. They are filler. You know why they need all this filler? Because this season was boooorrrring.
There's a "Bachelor Pad" sneak peek that has us pretty excited for that trashtastic show to debut in a week. Yippee! So much crying!
Also - we are a quarter of the way into this thing before we even get to the men. Is it 'cause this season was so boring? If it's any indication, the first talk of the men is really slow. Making fun of Drunky Tim and Mask-Wearing Jeff are the highlights, which - we did...

We're getting down to the wire, lovebirds. As Bachelorette Ashley inches ever closer to picking a Forever Man, the time it takes to sift through all this Bachelorette news starts to take forever, man. But it also gets juicier than ever. Here's everything you need to know after last night's hometown tour:
That Bachelor Pad 2 Promo I Mentioned In Which Jake Wishes That Vienna Would Fall Three Thousand Feet to Her Death: Jake may or may not be an expert on aviation-related murder.

They say, "When God closes a door, he opens a window." But in the case of William Holman and Blake Julian's Bachelorette to Bachelor Pad transitions, I think it's more like "When God closes an infinity pool he reopens the same infinity pool, but this time with more hot chicks inside."
Not that the Big Guy Upstairs would have anything to do with the overflowing lechery that is Bachelor Pad 2, which premieres August 8. But William and Blake (right, taking time off from his busy dentist's schedule) look happy and healthy enough in these cast photos that have been revealed now that we know Bachelorette Ashley sent them both packing this season.
Both of them made Ashley cry, but now they're all smiles. Here's William, aka "Ding Dong" (oh, how I hope that nickname transfers over!):...

They've been hyping it for two weeks and now it has finally arrived - snake Bentley is back in "Bachelorette" Ashley's life because she just can't get him out of her heart. He is smarmy as ever and the other guys are understandably mad about his return. Oh, the fireworks!
And in non-"Bachelor"-franchise fashion, they deal with the Bentley stuff at the top of the show. What is this craziness? We figured there would be teases for all two hours and like three minutes of footage at the end of the show. Wild.
Upon finding out that Bentley is here, Ashley is overcome with surprise and emotion. She goes to his hotel room and immediately smooches him. Was it just me or did it look like he didn't want to kiss her? Ashley plays "coy" for a bit, but she comes out with her obsession with him...

From the moment I saw William Holman's Bachelorette intro package, in which he called himself a romantic "stepping stone" with bad luck in love (and then, to illustrate, he broke an umbrella in the rain), I knew he'd be one of the most memorable characters of the season.
Little did I know that William would turn out to be one of Ashley's biggest disappointments, second perhaps only to Bentley. That might sound harsh, but it's not really bad "luck" if it's your bad decisions -- like fake-marrying her, then publicly shaming her, then crying and running away from her -- that turn a girl from smitten to sickened in a matter of weeks. He didn't earn the nickname "Ding Dong" for nothing.

Wow, it sure does rain a lot in Thailand, doesn’t it? Those orphans were cute, too. But man, did nothing happen in this episode. I mean, that’s not entirely true — we learned that Ames has been to 70 countries — but beyond that it was kind of a treading water week. No spoilers here (obviously), but if you’ve seen tonight’s action-packed episode, share your thoughts below. (Stay tuned for my full recap later tonight.) Did Ashley’s last-minute rose-ceremony twist surprise you? Can you tell the difference between Ben F. and Constantine? How excited are you for the new season of Bachelor Pad?...

Get ready, "Bachelorette" fans. The proverbial stuff is about to hit the proverbial fan - from both a surprising source and an unsurprising source.
As host Chris Harrison told us last week, this episode's Bentley shenanigans "crossed a line" and almost brought production to a halt. And I apologize up front for the length of this recap, but a lot of stuff happened this episode.
But first ...
Ben C's Date
If you'll remember from the first night, Ben C. is a lawyer in New Orleans who speaks French and plays the piano. For his date with Ashley, she and Ben are going to be in the middle of a flash mob that she helped choreograph. Very cool and that explains the "Up With People!" footage in the previews for this week. This is also a great date for Ben, he seems really artsy and will love the flash mob.

Ashley’s been trying to keep mum about her engagement — but could it be that she’s planning her wedding to J.P. at this moment?
Bachelorette Ashley Hebert‘s secret has been found out. The 27-year-old dental student is engaged to J.P. Rosenbaum — the 34-year-old construction manager from Long Island, NY — reports RealitySteve.com!
According to RealitySteve.com, J.P. comes face to face with Ben Flajnik — the rumored runner up — for the finale rose, but Ashley sends Ben home from Fiji, where the final rose ceremony takes place.
After Ashley says goodbye to Ben, J.P. remains as the final contestant and her future husband.

The Bachelorette's seventh season kicked off last week as Ashley Hebert - who made it to the final three on Brad Womack's season of The Bachelor - met her 25 suitors at the first cocktail party in Los Angeles, before saying goodbye to seven men at the end of the night. One-on-one date: William This week's episode opens with the first one-on-one date of the season, as Ashley whisks William away to Las Vegas on a private jet. She decides to have some fun with the bachelor, and tests his willingness to get married by taking them to a wedding cake shop and ring shop, before finally locating a Vegas wedding chapel. As Ashley walks down the aisle to where William and a reverend are waiting, the bachelor admits that he's starting to get nervous: "We keep inching closer to the process of finalizing a marriage." Nevertheless, things proceed...

We met 26-year-old ingenue Ashley Herbert on The Bachelor, and apparently she's been doing some self-improvement since being dumped by Brad Womack--working rill hard at UPenn dental school, dancing on a stage in an empty auditorium, and posing "reflectively" by large bodies of water. Bachelorette Ashley is ready for love, but intimates in voiceover that she's experiencing some apprehension about feigning love on national television.

Will dating a lot of men prepare you for the right one or are you wasting your time actively looking for love?
Ashley Hebert is the gal searching for her Mr. Right this season on The Bachelorette, and although she’s bravely putting herself out there on the ‘meet market’, will dating 25 different guys truly prepare her to find ‘the one’?
After getting dumped by Brad Womack in favor of Emily Maynard last season on The Bachelor, the 26-year-old University of Pennsylvania dental student has embarked on her own quest to find love. Will she be successful? Only time will tell.
I respect Ashley’s hopefulness that one of the guys will work out, but she needs to know what she really wants and she needs to play smart. The fact that a pal warned her that Bentley Williams was only on the show to further his career and she...

Ashley’s dad has been Mia on and off again throughout her whole life because of his alcohol addiction. But now he’s recovering and they’re reconnecting!
For years, Bachelorette Ashley Hebert‘s father Gregg Hebert was not part of her life.
In fact, when Ashley was competing on The Bachelor, she bonded with Brad Womack over the fact that they both had deadbeat dads. She told Brad about her father’s battle with alcohol and how he was once homeless. When Ashley was filming The Bachelor, she didn’t even know where her dad was — but a few months later, she was reunited with Greg during a very “emotional” visit!
At the age of one, Ashley’s mother Laurie filed for divorce from her Gregg — and in 1991, while Gregg was staying in a rehab facility called Serenity House, the divorce was finalized. As the years passed, the addiction separated Gregg from his family.

The Bachelorette is back, and dare we say it, better than ever?
It's not that this is groundbreaking reality TV. In fact, it's one of the older reality franchises still around. But ABC seems to be embracing its cheesiness, knowing what fans respond to and running all-out with it at this point.
From the deliberate overuse of certain phrases - i.e. "here for the wrong reasons" - to montages introducing our Bachelorette (and her suitors) designed to tug at your heartstrings and blurring the line between reality and scripted drama, the show is hitting its stride once again.
It doesn't hurt that the Bachelorette herself is so much fun.
What a welcome relief from that robotic stiff Brad Womack to see someone so genuine, outgoing and comfortable with herself in the driver's seat. She really is great.
You may find Ashley Hebert a little annoying at times, but she's nothing if not genuine.

She may have failed to find love herself, when Brad Womack chose Emily Maynard on the last season of The Bachelor but Ashley Hebert has gotten the last laugh and last night premièred in her own reality TV show, The Bachelorette .
In the first episode of the season, the 27 year old beauty from Madawaska, Maine cut a whopping seven men from her 25 strong group of admirers and the evening started badly as she had to content with a rather drunk Tim, who had to be shaken and woke for their date time.
Understandably, he did not get a rose at the end of the evening and seemed quite put out to be leaving the show at such an early stage.
One man who did impress was Ryan P. who stole the Bachelorette away for some one on one time after winning the First Impression Rose. Mickey tried to kiss Ashley...

Welcome to a new season of The Bachelorette. It feels like we’ve been gone for a while, and it’s really good to be back. I hope you feel like your Monday night appointment is back. Because of the timing of production, by the time the guys arrived at the house they knew Ashley was our girl. The spring TV season is winding down, the summer season is starting up - we all know that means another "Bachelorette" season. This time it's Ashley Hebert who has her choice of 25 bachelors.
Warning: Please, no spoilers in the comments. Those comments will be deleted.
This seventh installment of "The Bachelorette" kicks off with (what else?) a video replay of Ashley's time on Brad Womack's "Bachelor" season. I sincerely hope I end up liking her as bachelorette, since I was really hoping Shawntel would get the gig.
After Brad's season, Ashley was back in Philadelphia, apparently doing a lot of jogging, walking or dancing while gazing off in a contemplative manner. I am digging her darker hair, but what I am not digging is the "Rocky" thing. We get it. It's Philly. They couldn't have had her lick the Liberty Bell or something?

Is Ashley Hebert a dozen short weeks away from getting engaged, or should she run for the hills Asap? The seventh season of The Bachelorette got underway tonight with the usual promises of insta-romance and shocking twists—-for instance, what's with the guy in the mask?—as the 27-year-old dental student set off on her second quest for love, the first having been a third-place try on The Bachelor. Right away, Ashley was faced with a dude who tried to move too fast, one who hoped that she could later take his picture with host Chris Harrison, and another whom she had already been tipped off to as being in the game for all the wrong reasons... Chicago – You must have some respect, at least from a business perspective, for ABC’s pop phenomenon of “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette,” which returns tonight on ABC for another round of rose ceremonies, broken hearts, group dates, tabloid headlines, and strong ratings. The season premiere sets the stage for what should be a fan-satisfying trip around a familiar block with a dose of controversy, a few frontrunners, and a lot more of what fans have seen before season after season after season.
Television Rating: 3.0/5.0
Just as it looked like “The Bachelor” would dip far enough in the ratings that host Chris Harrison would have to look for work elsewhere, the producers of these shows hit on to a brilliant idea — recycle and reuse. The last several seasons of both shows have featured familiar faces in the title role, a trend that has proven to be a ratings bonanza. It makes total sense.

Ashley’s ex-boyfriend Joe passed away just weeks before she went on ‘The Bachelor’ to court Br ad Womack!
Bachelorette Ashley Hebert has kept mum about the death of her first love Joe Olszewski. He passed away on Sept. 2, 2010 — just before Ashley started filming The Bachelor with Brad Womack. But despite her pain, Ashley never brought up the sad subject of Joe while she was on the show.
She started dating Joe after she graduated from the University of Maine in 2006, where he graduated from the year before her. And they kept in touch after they broke up, even though he lived in California and she was in dental school at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
But just before she started filming The Bachelor, Ashley found out that Joe had passed away of complications from pneumonia and acute respiratory distress syndrome.
“She was really beside herself,” Ashley’s friend Mike King tells In Touch.

The Bachelor: Who is the next Bachelorette? [Mar. 19] Dental school student Ashley Herbert (Ashley H.) one of the top three bachelorette finalists of season 15 of ABC’s The Bachelor (which aired Monday nights) was sent home by repeat bachelor Brad Womack during the season’s overnight dates in South Africa. During the date, it became obvious Ashley and Brad were not meant for each other as conversations between the two were still pretty guarded and only touched on surface issues. Observing the interactions Brad shared with the women contestants, divorcee Chantal O’Brien and single mother Emily Maynard (the women he proposed to in the final episode of season 15 of ABC’s The Bachelor), one realized they seemed to have a bit more depth and potential for relationship growth. Now, with the season over, Ashley Herbert, has officially been picked by the producers of The Bachelor to be the star...

Wow! Do you think Chantal would have made a better ‘Bachelorette’ than Ashley? Here’s how Chantal lost her chance!
Talk about a battle of the roses! ABC asked Chantal O’ Brien — one of the final two contenders on Brad Womack’s second season of The Bachelor — to be the next Bachelorette before they approached Ashley Hebert, who now holds the title.
“Chantal quite possibly would have been our Bachelorette, if she hadn’t not, quote-unquote,’ fallen in love with some goofball in Seattle,” Bachelore/Bachelorette creator and producer Mike Fleiss tells Entertainment Weekly. “I’m sure they’ll be together forever.”
When Chantal turned ABC down, the network had to go with their second choice — Ashley.
“She’s kind of cool, she’s spunky and she’s got a lot personality,” says Mike.
“It’s also the first time we had an actual professional woman as a Bachelorette,” adds Mike.

Fourth-year dental student Ashley Hebert is officially over Brad Womack and ready to start her own polyamorous adventure on The Bachelorette in May. And while we would have preferred Shawntel Newton based on the capacity for dead guy jokes alone, dentist jokes can be pretty fun, too. A lot more fun than going to the dentist, anyway.

Ashley Hebert, 26, who currently resides in Philadelphia, where she is finishing her degree in dentistry, went from being one of the favorites to capture Brad's heart on the just completed 15th edition of ABC's hit romance reality series, "The Bachelor," to narrowly missing her goal of finding a future husband. Ashley and Brad clicked on their enchanting first date at a private carnival, discovering an electric connection and sharing a magical first kiss. After showing Brad her charming hometown and his meeting her family, the rollercoaster ride took them to South Africa, where, in a stunning turnaround, their relationship fell apart. Ashley Hebert was not Brad Womack's match made in "The Bachelor" but she is determined to find her own fate through the show's spin-off "The Bachelorette". Just a few hours after Brad proposed to Emily Maynard, ABC announced through "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" that the dentist-to-be is their new bachelorette.
Jimmy Kimmel grilled Ashley on the "Bachelor" oath, asking her things like, "Do you promise, on national television, to date 25 men simultaneously without complaining?", "Do you promise to use the word 'amazing' between 8 and 40 times per show", and "Do you promise to make sure the hot tubs are clean and have enough chlorine and their bacteria levels are low?" To the latest, Ashley responded, "I'll do my best with that."
Ashley is a 26-year-old dental student from Maine who was in the final three of Brad's choice. "I feel like this season taught me so much about myself," Ashley told People.
