Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has said that she is "gutted" after two of her acts were eliminated from The X Factor tonight (October 19).
Having been saved following Deadlock last week, Stephanie Nala was eliminated after coming bottom of the public vote for her reggae version of Blondie's 'Call Me'.
Chloe Jasmine came in the bottom three for her performance of 'Fame', and only Cheryl voted to save her ahead of Stereo Kicks.
Asked about the exits by Xtra Factor host Sarah-Jane Crawford, Cheryl said: "We've lost the cool factor and you've lost actually somebody that was very, very interesting and hadn't given her all yet."
She added of Nala: "She's very distinctive. It's one of those finding tunes... and with the themes you have to be very, very careful with Steph because her voice is so distinctive.
Simon Cowell: 'Chloe Jasmine didn't want it that much'

Katrina Lyndon and Tom Shilcock have become the next contestants to leave So You Think You Can Dance. The duo were forced to duke it out in a solo showdown against the partnership of Bethany Rose Harrison and Israel Donowa after viewers failed to warm to their earlier salsa and jazz routines. Despite Lyndon giving an "effortless and elegant" individual performance and Shilcock shaking up proceedings with a tap display, substitute head judge Arlene Phillips revealed in her comments that herself, Louise Redknapp, Sisco Gomez and guest panelist John Barrowman had decided to send them home. Addressing the girls first, she praised Lyndon by saying: "Week on week you have delighted us with the challenges you've taken on as a ballerina, [but] (more)...

Mixed Crew will be seen making their TV debut on tonight’s episode of So You Think You Can Dance.
The crew reveal that they chose their name because their members are from Russia, Northern Ireland, Nigeria and England and admitted that, despite only being together for four months, they are already gaining quite a reputation in their home town of Belfast.
While we loved their choreography and their routine flowed well, they did have some synchronicity issues
Sisco Gomez commended them on their unique chemistry and commitment but admitted that at the moment, the competition is way out of their league.

Louise Redknapp has promised viewers that there won’t be any dud finalists on the upcoming series of So You Think You Can Dance.
Reality TV fans who are fed up with wannabes like Wagner and Jedward shooting to fame, can rest assured that while there will be some fun and wacky auditionees on the new season of the BBC dance show, the contestants who make it into the live rounds will all be talented and gifted.
Louise appeared with fellow Sytycd judge Sisco Gomez on BBC Breakfast this morning. A video clip was shown of a mother and daughter act trying out for the panel, and though they were fun and light hearted, they weren’t great dancers. When asked if joke acts could be put through to the final 20 if they have enough public backing, Redknapp shook her head and replied:
I think the integrity of the show is pretty key.

So You Think You Can Dance judge Sisco Gomez has claimed that only the best dance shows will survive for future series. The choreographer and reality TV judge said that programmes like So You Think You Can Dance and Strictly Come Dancing will last after the current fashion for dance TV ends. "It tends to happen on TV, when something new comes along it tends to get overdone. But I think the shows that will survive are the ones that promote the art form really well - like this one," he told Digital Spy. "I don't think next year there will be too many dance shows left. I think there will only be the big ones that remain like Strictly." Speaking (more)...
