Through this, the company will broadcast operas from around the world in UK and Ireland cinemas.
The first event on July 5 will see them collaborate with Rising Alternative and Festival Euro Mediterraneo/Taormina Festival to broadcast Puccini’s La Bohème: Live from Taormina (pictured) in Sicily to 300 cinemas in the UK and Ireland.

The Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and Coppélia will be released in 500 cinemas worldwide.
Event cinema distributor CinemaLive has partnered with The Australian Ballet to deliver three productions into cinemas worldwide over the coming 12 months.
The trilogy of ballets, dubbed The Fairy Tale Series, will commence with David McAllister’s The Sleeping Beauty, which the Australian company performed in 2015. In October 2016, the production will be screened in 500 cinemas across North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Central and South America.
The second ballet is Cinderella, which will be performed in a limited exclusive London run at the Coliseum from July, before entering cinemas later this year. Alexei Ratmansky choreographed the production, which Jerome Kaplan designed.
The final production of the initial partnership will be Coppélia, which was revived by the company’s founding artistic director Peggy Van Praagh and theatre director George Ogilvie, with costumes by Kristian Fredikson. It will premiere in cinemas in 2017.

The Event Cinema Association has appointed four new Eca members to its board of directors.
The Event Cinema Association (Eca), the trade body for the event cinema industry, has revealed a new-look board.
The new board members are: Vanessa Hills, head of marketing at UK distributor More2Screen; Janelle Mason, director and producer at UK distributor CinemaLive; and Manel Carreras, svp of marketing and content business development services at digital cinema technologies specialist Ymagis.
Fabrice Testa, who was previously on the Eca’s board in his capacity as CEO for Dsat, has rejoined the board in his new role as head of international business development for Kencast.
Melissa Cogavin, managing director for Eca, said: “All of them bring diverse skills and key experience that will be of huge benefit to our organization as we enter a new phase of our development.”

Daniel Graham will replace Helen Jones as the company’s head of distribution.
CinemaLive has appointed Daniel Graham as head of distribution, replacing incumbent Helen Jones, who will leave the company to focus on her female-focused production outfit Silver Salt Films.
In his new role, Graham will manage the international distribution team, working across all of the company’s releases in all worldwide territories.
He joins from Arrow Films where he had been head of theatrical sales since February 2014.
Graham previously held positions at Axiom Films, Artifical Eye, Picturehouse and Uip Australia.
Jones will continue to work with CinemaLive’s content acquisitons department, headed by directors Peter Skillman and Janelle Mason, on a consultancy basis.
