Some of the world's artists are celebrating Elton John's musical legacy with two albums: Revamp (Island Records) and Restoration (Universal Music Group Nashville), both out Apr. 6. Both will celebrate John's decades of hits, which he produced with songwriter Bernie Taupin. Revamp features songs reimagined by Mary J. Blige, Alessia Cara, Coldplay, Miley Cyrus, Florence and the Machine, Lady Gaga, The Killers, Mumford and Sons, Pink and Logic, Q-Tip and Demi Lovato, Queens of the Stone Age, Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith. The album has a pop art cover, based on a Terry O'Neil photograph of John, and it was recreated in neon. "We have two completely different albums; Revamp being the pop one and Restoration being...

Despite Mumford and Sons being the headline band two days later, on the Thursday night at U.K.’s recently concluded Latitude Festival (like a slimmed down and slightly more sedate version of Glastonbury), there was no question about what the main attraction was.
Under a tent almost bursting at the seams, with crowds spilling out into the fields around, three unassuming figures were given a rock star’s welcome as they took to the stage to sit on three distinctly un-rock'n'roll folding chairs. Their act: reading out a chapter of a pornographic novel.

The victims of the bombing during Ariana Grande’s Manchester show on May 22 were honored on Sunday during the “One Love Manchester” benefit concert.
The concert started with a moment of silence to honor the victims of both the Manchester bombing and London terrorist attack on Saturday night.
Marcus Mumford, the lead singer of Mumford and Sons, was the first performer to take the stage, performing a solo version of Mumford and Sons’ “Timshel.” He was followed by Manchester’s own Take That, who performed “Shine” and “Giants.”
“Thanks to Ariana for inviting us tonight,” said Take That singer Gary Barlow.

Kings of Leon are back and ready to put out their brand new album. Their seventh full-length effort, entitled Walls, is set for release on October 14th via RCA Records.
After ten years worth of albums produced by Angelo Petraglia, the band enlisted Grammy award winning producer and songwriter Markus Dravs to work behind the boards on Walls. Despite the change, Kings of Leon were still in good hands: Dravs’ credits include albums from Arcade Fire, Mumford and Sons, and Coldplay.
Back in late 2015, singer Caleb Followill and drummer Nathan Followill spoke with Associated Press about how they’ll split their time recording in Los Angeles and their hometown of Nashville.
The band’s been teasing their new album and the title Walls on social media outlets this entire week, as members have been using hashtags and posting cryptic content on Instagram. Although the ten track album has now been officially announced,...

The biggest debut of 2012 doesn’t belong to a glossy pop act like One Direction or Justin Bieber.
Sure, those boys have hordes of teenage girls ready to download their music at the drop of a tweet, but they’ve got nothing on the scruffy gents of Mumford & Sons, whose new disc, Babel sold 600,000 copies in its first seven days. (The next-best opening? Bieber’s Believe, with 374,000 in week 1.)...

Mumford & Sons have announced their highly anticipated sophomore album, Babel, will be released on Sept. 25 and include twelve new songs from British folk-rockers. Produced by Markus Dravs, who helmed the multi-platinum debut Sigh No More, the album started to take shape after the foursome reluctantly took time off from touring. "We had started writing new songs well before we got into the studio to record," the band says. "At first, we peeled ourselves off the road quite reluctantly. We love playing live, obviously, but it had also become an important part of our creative process,

Last year, Mumford & Sons, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and Old Crow Medicine Show joined forces for the Railroad Revival Tour, a trek that took them through the American Southwest on a journey that was nearly as long as the names of the band names involved.
Director Emmett Malloy rode along with them, capturing each show and every magical moment aboard the rails ... and now, he's brought it all together in a brand-new documentary, "Big Easy Express," which premiered during the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas. And at the premiere, MTV News caught up with three of the stars — Mumford's Ben Lovett, Edward Sharpe's Alex Ebert and Old Crow's Gill Landry — to talk about making the film, which, from the sound of things,...
