Charlie Austin will stay at Queens Park Rangers this transfer window and presumably until the end of the season when his contract runs out, according to Independent journalist, Sam Wallace.
Reports claim that Austin will see out his current deal that expires in the summer of 2016 and leave Qpr on a free transfer.
Austin was the fourth-top scorer in the Premier League in 2014-15 having bagged an impressive 18 goals despite playing for a side who finished bottom of the table and he has just a year left on his Loftus Road deal.
Austin has scored 107 goals in 199 league games for Swindon, Burnley and Qpr since the beginning of 2010.
Qpr have demanded £15 million for 18-goal Austin all summer but The Express claim Newcastle were unwilling to offer higher than £12 million.
Despite Aleksandar Mitrovic having already arrived from Anderlecht, the club have remained hopeful of bringing in another...

“England are at an all-time low.. and the truth is nobody really cares.”
Those were the hard-hitting words by current Millwall and former Crystal Palace manager, Ian Holloway in a recent Daily Mirror article, and it seems he might not be wrong. A lot has been made about the attendance of 40, 181 spectators during 1-0 friendly win versus Norway, but as Sam Wallace of the Independent highlighted, coverage about it was slightly exaggerated considering that England’s home crowds are traditionally among the best in the world, despite the team’s historic lack of success:
“The fact that this week’s crowd has become a stick with which to beat Hodgson and the Fa has more to do with the historically healthy size of England’s home support, rather than the lack of it.”
Despite this, the crowd for England first post-world cup match...

When the Premier League returns to our screens in just over a months time there will be a mighty battle between Sky and BT for your business as the two companies play a game of tug of war over who has the best football coverage.
BT’s sport channels will be free for their customers and has in the opening three months an impressive array of fixtures – certainly a more impressive line-up than Espn has had in recent seasons.
Sky retain most of the biggest fixtures in the early stages of the season such as Manchester United vs Chelsea (Aug 26) and Arsenal vs Tottenham Hotspur (Sept 1) but BT has big matches too in the form of Tottenham v Chelsea (Sept 28), the Merseyside derby (Nov 23) and Tottenham Hotspur vs Man Utd (Nov 30).
The Independent’s Sam Wallace also confirmed on Twitter that the opening weekend, including David Moyes first game as...

Directors Brian Gaillard and Daniel Murphy and Hm&M Films’ nifty slasher “And Then You Die” is a low-budget horror flick that gleefully channels some of the shot-on-video genre flicks perpetrated by the likes of Todd Sheets and Tim Ritter. The body count is high, the story is stronger than most, and the directors work wonders with the money they had at their disposable. As far as microbudget horror is concerned, the flick is one hell of a directorial debut. Chuck Smith stars as Sam Wallace, a car salesman who is about to embark on one of the worst days of his life. Not only is his wife (Ellie Church) having an affair, he’s also on the cusp of losing his job. When the poor guy’s car runs out of gas on a rural road, things really start to unravel. Although Sam does his best to keep a level head,...
