Phillip Howard Wolf was born on Friday, September 13, 1974, in Dallas, Texas.
Growing up in Carrollton, Texas, Wolf received a Panasonic VHS camcorder when he was ten and created short films. He edited his movies in-camera since he had no editing software.
At twelve, Wolf wanted to become a writer after reading his first Stephen King novel, "It." Wolf wrote over twenty short stories between twelve and sixteen. During high school (1989-1993), he submitted his manuscripts to several publications, such as Weird Tales, Marion Zimmer Bradley's Fantasy Magazine, and more.
On May 17, 1997, Wolf married Patience (born Patience Janelle Sismilich). On March 2, 1999, their first child, Jeremiah (born Jeremiah Gregory Wolf), was touched with a congenital heart defect diagnosed as hypoplastic left heart syndrome and survived to fourteen months (May 25, 2000). Wolf wrote about his experiences in daily journals to cope with his loss, thus leading him to complete the memoir, "God Gave Us a Promise," published in 2002.
Wolf wrote his first screenplay, "When the Clock Strikes," in 2003 and filmed the short movie of the same title. He and Patience welcomed a healthy baby girl, Destiny (born Destiny Faye Wolf).
In 2005, Wolf attended The Art Institute of Dallas to study video production. For his final assignment, he wrote the screenplay for "Deadline". Most of the movie was filmed on the second day in Sulphur Springs for over twenty-four hours. Graduating in 2008 with honors, Wolf was awarded the best portfolio of his graduating class. He resigned from the retail industry to film virtual tours for apartment homes and small business videos the same year.
In 2009, Patience gave birth to their second healthy daughter, Angelina (born Angelina Nicole Wolf).
Wolf incorporated his independent film company, Wolf Entertainment Productions (WEP), in 2011. In 2012, he established Silent Cries under the WEP umbrella. He created a documentary short entitled "Silent Cries" regarding congenital heart defects in children and adults. Then, he entered the movie into film festivals. It was an official selection and won first place in the health category during the 2012 Awareness Film Festival in Los Angeles, California.
In 2015, Wolf wrote the storybook "Jeremiah the CHD Aware Bear and Friends" and then produced the [international] award-winning documentary feature, "Silent Cries: Breaking Through CHD Awareness."
Wolf's new novel, "Jack Stinger and the Haunting of Whitlock Manor," will be releasing May 17, 2022.
