Yomi Ayeni is an award winning Transmedia storyteller. His 2009 interactive film "Breathe" offered the audience a chance to take ownership of the narrative.
His storytelling practice includes "Clockwork Watch", a retro-futurist Steampunk / Victoriana story told across graphic novels, interactive theatre, online, and film. The immersive nature of this story has led to collaborations with the British Library, Royal Observatory, Latitude Festival, Scottsdale Civic Library (Arizona), National Maritime Museum, The Asylum in Lincoln, and a fictional online newspaper.
Yomi started his career in Nigeria where he worked as a DJ on a local radio station, and went on to join "London Weekend Radio", a pirate station broadcasting from tower blocks in London. In 1989, he launched Tone Def Records, a seminal dance label at the forefront of the drum and bass genre.
In 2000 he produced his first reality TV format "E-Trippers", and went on to win 2021 "Best Use of New Media Award" for Global E-Missions (ITV).
Yomi produced Violette's Dream, an alternate reality game which was used to promote Velvet Assassin, a next-gen computer game published by Gamecock Media, Texas.
