Sara Bareilles won’t be the only Waitress cast member with prior stage-diner experience when the musical reopens on Broadway in September: Producers announced today that Waitress vets Drew Gehling, Eric Anderson, Charity Angel Dawson, Christopher Fitzgerald, Caitlin Houlahan, Dakin Matthews and Joe Tippett will be back for at least part of the show’s limited engagement.
Producers Barry and Fran Weissler previously announced that Bareilles, the actress and the musical’s composer, will take the title role for a limited run at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre from September 2 through October 17. The production will continue without Bareilles until January 9, 2022.
Exactly how long the other cast members will stay with the engagement wasn’t specified, but given their busy careers and other Broadway commitments, limited stays are more than likely. Workbus Ltd. has unveiled its Efm slate.
The slate is led by suspense thriller Candlestick, directed by Christopher Presswell and starring Andrew Fitch, Isla Ure, Nigel Thomas and Tom Knight.
Centring on a social gathering that’s rocked when the host accuses his best friend’s wife of infidelity, Candlestick opens in the Us on April 11 in cinemas and on VoD.
Workbus is also handling sales on Ure’s feature debut Halcyon Heights, currently in post-production and set for a summer 2015 completion, and will be launching Presswell’s next feature The Shadow Man, a throwback spy adventure that’s set to shoot in September this year.

The first trailer for Christopher Presswell’s Candlestick has gone live over at TVBomb.
The film, which will have its UK premiere at the inaugural Aberdeen International Film Festival next month, is a contemporary London-set thriller described in the programme as a Hitchcockian homage.
The official synopsis reads:
