Things got downright spooky on week 7 of Dancing With the Stars, as the final eight couples performed both individual and team dances. It was a freestyle fright night of sorts — starring TeamCreepy versus TeamItsyBitsy — and we faced the prospect of Michael Waltrip and Tommy Chong surviving yet another week. Now that’s what I call scary!
That said, popping back to the ballroom to say “boo” on this Halloween-themed live show were returning head judge Len Goodman (who else has missed the prospect of a “10 from Len” during his latest hiatus?) and co-host Erin Andrews (back from World Series duty...

EW has confirmed that Lionsgate has pushed back its remake of Dirty Dancing. Original Dancing choreographer Kenny Ortega (High School Musical, Michael Jackson’s This Is It) is set to helm this new iteration, and Glee co-creator Brad Falchuk will write the screenplay with Maria Maggenti (Monte Carlo). The movie was originally slated to hit theaters July 26, 2013, but now won’t open until 2014.
Casting decisions slowed the process and caused the delay, Deadline first exclusively reported. Among the stars up for the roles of Baby and Johnny (first played by Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze): Glee warbler Lea Michele,...

Nobody puts Baby in a corner, but Lionsgate is putting their "Dirty Dancing" remake in limbo.
Deadline reported that the studio has paused production on the movie for at least a year for "casting reasons." The dancing flick was originally slated to hit theaters on July 26, 2013, but now it looks like it won't be coming out until 2014 at earliest.
Even with that disappointing news, original "Dirty Dancing" choreographer and "High School Musical" helmer Kenny Ortega is still attached to direct the flick. There has been no cast announced for the project yet.
That doesn't mean that people haven't auditioned for the parts of Baby and Johnny Castle, though. Deadline claimed that Lea Michele, Liana Liberato and Canadian singer Nikki Yanofsky all went out for the female lead, while Derek Hough, "Brothers & Sisters" star Luke Grime and Justin Gaston tried out for the role previously held by Patrick Swayze.

She may be Justin Bieber's peer - at least in age - but 16-year-old Nikki Yanofsky is already a veteran jazz singer. At 12, the Montreal-native was hooked on the sophisticated genre (though she sings pop every once in a while) and, in February, she took the world stage, performing "O Canada," the Canadian national anthem, at the Vancouver Olympics. She's just released her self-titled, debut album - and already performed alongside Celine Dion, collaborated with will.i.am and appeared on the High School Musical 2 soundtrack. Here are five more things to know about the up-and-coming star. 1. She...
