Tony Deemer was born in Ottawa, Illinois, raised in San Antonio, Texas
and went to flight school in Dayton, Ohio. He reinvented himself from a
Pilot as he decided his love for cinema would feed his creative
passion. He attended Film School at The Art Institute of Ohio -
Cincinnati. While there he was the recipient of the Bronze Telly Award
for documentary filmmaking in 2010. While in film school, he hated
seeing shaky camera movements and discovered the art of Steadicam. He
pursued the art by attending the Steadicam Operators Associations
Workshop with the man who invented Steadicam, Garrett Brown. With
numerous credits to his name in different genres of Film and Network
Television, Tony holds one award (Bronze Telly) and several Official
Selections to several Film Festivals. Tony is a member of the Steadicam
Operators Association (SOA), Steadicam Guild and The Society of Camera
Operators (SOC).
