The inclusion of right-wing firebrand politician Nigel Farage and Jamie Lynn Spears in this year’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! failed to spark gangbuster ratings for last night’s launch episode, although you wouldn’t think so reading Gb News producer Ben Leo’s X timeline.
Leo, who is in Australia covering the show featuring Gb News presenter Farage, tweeted this morning that the series opener had been watched by 9.1 million people and a peak of 10.3 million. The figure is in fact 7 million and 7.8 million respectively – I’m a Celeb’s lowest for several years. Leo appears to have been confusing last night’s ratings with 2022’s and hasn’t yet taken his tweet down, which led with “Farage Sparks Bombshell Ratings.”

The soon-to-be-newlyweds appeared on Tuesday’s edition (14 February) of the ITV daytime programme in a special segment, dedicated to romance.
Dan had arranged to publicly ask his partner Ellen to marry him with the This Morning producers ahead of time.
Unbeknownst to Ellen, secret cameras were placed inside a London café where they were having breakfast.
Then, at a crucial moment, fellow customers revealed the words “will you marry me?” under their shirts, as Dan dropped to his knee.
“Since the day I met you Ellen, you make me happy, so happy every day,” Dan began his speech, before referring to their child.
“You’re the perfect mum to Arthur, and I just want to spend the rest of my life with you – which is why I want to ask you to marry me.

In a few short hours, one of six housemates will go down in the Big Brother history books as the 15th winner of the show (alright, so it's not like they'll be studied in schools or anything, but it's something, right?). But where will they fit in the record? Will they be a worthy winner, or a disappointment? Will they be looked back on with glee or with grimaces?
That remains to be seen, but in the meantime we have 14 winners to rank. Who is the best? Who is the worst? We're not going to claim this is definitive - we switched our own minds around about 27 times just while compiling our running order - but take to the comments to give us your views. The curvy 'Only Way is Essex' star recently underwent a big body transformation, losing 42lbs ahead of the next series of the show, but she admits it was not a fun process. Gemma exclusively told Bang Showbiz: "I have to be honest, it's been bloody boring losing weight. I went to the same bootcamp as Josie Gibson from 'Big Brother'. The twelfth series of Big Brother debuted with an audience of 2.6m on Channel 5 last night, far lower than the 4.6m who saw Josie Gibson enter the house last year on Channel 4. The 2.63m (12.5%) figure also represented a decrease in comparison to the 5.16m who watched the launch of Celebrity Big Brother on the Richard Desmond-owned channel last month. Prior to the evening's tentpole event, 1.14m (4.7%) saw a Celebrity Big Brother special on show winner Paddy Doherty. Following the housemates' surprise encounter with Pamela Anderson, 992k (8.6%) stuck around to watch Big Brother's Bit On The Side. Over on ITV1, Red or Black? limped on with 3.8m (16.8%) in the 8pm hour (+1: 52k, 0.2%), before returning at 9.30pm with an almost identical 3.9m and 16.9% share. The conclusion to the show fared better on timeshift, however, securing 151k (0.9%). BBC One's primetime (more)...

Ah, we’re still slogging along in the soapy Hoh competition. It’s all fun until someone breaks a leg, Big Brother. Of course, the hamsters must sign really comprehensive rights wavers, so any unlucky accident victim would probably be patched up, slung into a humilitard or an elf costume and told to chicken dance for his or her housemates. Anyway, our hamsters are still slip sliding along with their little measuring cups. Shelly repeats over and over again that she’s doing it for her daughter Josie. Really, Shelly? You mean the Hoh competition or the lying? Sorry, but I can’t imagine your...

Last night’s eviction cut the head off zombie Brendon and may have also snipped the alliance lines of many house guests. With Shelly against Rachel but with Jeff and Jordan, who are with Rachel solely for the competitive benefit, Shelly had quite an emotional roller coaster of a week. Rachel knew and accepted the end result of Brendon’s status this time around and seemed to handle his leaving in a much more civilized way. Round of applause for Rachel. It was her nemesis, Shelly who was on edge the entire week. Little does everyone know that they should all be on edge with this week’s double eviction. Watching Big Brother catch up with Shelly’s husband, Tony and eight year old daughter, Josie at home in Baton Rouge, La would have erased all of Shelly’s hot headed comments and moves had her family not pointed this out themselves.

Big Brother 13 picked up a little last night, thanks to the second exit of Brendon, a fight between Rachel and Jeff, and the reappearance of Shelly's eight-year-old daughter Josie, who is by far this season's most interesting and best character. In fact, I want the producers to bring Josie into the house and let her play, really. It's not like they don't break their own rules all the time anyway. But Josie is smart,...

I can’t tell whether Thursday’s eviction episode of Big Brother was satisfying or anticlimactic: We dealt with two provocative nominees — Shelly, the bayou belle who forged one too many problematic alliances, and Brendon, who spends his entire life as one half of a problematic alliance. Let’s analyze the elimination, see where we’re headed in the week ahead, and grant ourselves five wishes for the coming proceedings. Porsche, stop skipping in circles and pay attention.

Tonight's Big Brother eviction was seen a mile away, but that didn't mean there wasn't room for a potential blind side waiting to ram the viewers in the face. Plus, the evicted person got a "nice" ticket to the jury house, which means that whoever gets Hoh from here on out might want to play nice to who they're sending out the door.
At the start of the night, Julie Chen greeted us with dialogue suggesting that Shelly might not have been in such a great spot beside Brendon after all. Turns out that Julie was being sort of melodramatic in a way, because Brendon was really the one with his "back against the wall."
After the Pov Ceremony, Rachel began to break down about the thought of Brendon leaving again, but the "Big Brother Zombie" told his love that the week isn't over yet and that he's not leaving.

Wednesday’s Big Brother yielded a cute veto game (with beanbags!) and a couple great Daniele moments (including a delicious last-minute backdooring), but the episode mainly served as an intense psychological examination of Shelly, A.K.A. The Beigest Person On Television. She’s Frappuccino beige, you guys, and damn near Danielle Staub beige. Fascinating lady, this Shelly. Let’s compare notes!
First things first: Adam and Shelly competed in the veto competition (against Daniele, Kalia, Jordan, and Jeff), and Adam won the Power of Veto after convincing Jeff to throw the final round of the game. Swell, I guess?...

When we last left off with the "Big Brother 13" hamsters, Daniele had nominated Shelly and Adam. What will happen with Pov? If you want to jump on the live feeds, it's not too late to sign up for the live feeds - we suspect an endurance comp coming tomorrow night.

Rachel preens about her and Brendon not being on the block. Don't count your chickens, Red. Meanwhile, Shelly is not happy and immediately talks to Daniele, who assures her Brendon is the target. Shelly is on board with that.

The last episode of the brand-new UK version of the hilarious Japanese contest, in which teams of six compete for a cash prize will feature a whole host of past Big Brother contestants it has been reported.
The contestants must endure a series of physically challenging but incredibly silly games – all without making a sound. Next week, to herald the imminent arrival of Big Brother to Channel 5 at the end of the month, the Library is taken on by six former Bb housemates including former winners Brian Bello and Josie Gibson.
It started in Japan. It spread to America. Now it’shere. Teams of six friends are challenged to sit in a library and undergo a series of trials and tests, all either pointlessly painful or just plain disgusting. The games all need to be completed against a clock, and they include a host of terrifying and testing physical challenges.

We’ve been waiting all day and at 9.55pm this evening, this year’s first full length Big Brother promo aired on Channel 5.
It was like a who’s who of famous Bb faces from years gone by and we had quite a lot of fun spotting and naming some of our favourite (and also most annoying) housemates.
We have compiled most of them in a list below, though we know there are some names missing, so feel free to leave a comment below if you can identify any more.
The video starts out with Makosi on the phone and leads into various cast members dancing and miming to an adaptation of David Guetta’s popular dance track – When Love Takes Over renamed When Bruv Takes Over and at the end, as all the Bb stars gathered in what looked like a massive field, Marcus Bentley exclaimed:

In the "Big Brother 13" house, it looked like the plan was for the Veterans to keep Dominic and get rid of Adam. But oh, how things change in the house.
Fight! Fight! Fight!
So following Brendon not using the Pov on Adam/Dom, Daniele kind of loses her mind. Brendon is saying they don't trust her anymore - she played too hard to try to get them to backdoor Jeff. But Jeff blames Dominic for the backdoor plan, so Dominic is getting blamed for Dani's plan and he amazingly does not throw her under the bus to Jeff. Jeff keeps saying he wants somebody to "tell him what he wants to hear," which is pretty much exactly the opposite of telling the truth. Shut up, Jeff.
Jeff's "logic" is that Dominic leaves the house now because he knew about Daniele's plan and didn't rat her out to the other Veterans.

Cheryl Cole has reportedly decided to believe her former husband Ashley Cole, when he insists that nothing happened between him and three different women in June.
Colette McBarron, Kerry Meades and Jessyca Rayanne have all come out of the woodwork to claim that they slept with the footballer at the start of the summer, while he was holidaying in La and supposedly trying to woo Cheryl back.
However, a few details in the women’s stories are said to have convinced the former X Factor judge that they are lying and a source told heat magazine:
“The story didn’t ring true for Cheryl.”
“Ashley is massively over-the-top about tidiness and cleanliness. One girl described his room as a tip and Cheryl knew that wasn’t like Ashley. What’s more he had a cleaner there every day.”
