Halloween was full of good and bad costume ideas this year.
It's a holiday where you can be anything you want. So when you're already a celebrity, the costume decision can be that much more difficult.
Now that Halloween is over, we look at what celebrities were for the holiday and see who won Halloween and who just did failed to impress.

Making her Manhattan rounds, Heidi Klum showed up on the streets of the trendy SoHo neighborhood on Wednesday afternoon (June 18).
The “Project Runway” babe kept it simple with a black top, jeans and aviator sunglasses as she skirted past some shutterbugs en route to a meeting.
In relationship news, there are rampant rumors that Ms. Klum is slowly but surely getting back together with her ex-husband Seal.
Having divorced the “Kiss From a Rose” crooner in 2012, Klum met up with him at the Ivy restaurant in Santa Monica on June 11th.
An eyewitness shared, “They were all over each other. They were holding hands and kissing. They looked like newlyweds! They’re together a lot now. Seal has even stayed overnight at Heidi’s house.”...

Eliza Coupe may have found her next series following Happy Endings (admittedly, I was hoping she might return to Community). She is set to star in Benched, a USA comedy pilot about a woman who goes from working in corporate law to being a public defender.
The Doctor Who 50th anniversary special will be shown in theaters in 3D, including screens in the USA. Unfortunately, it looks like the specifics haven’t been settled, so we’ll all have to wait to find out if its going to be shown on the big screen in our city.
I wouldn’t mind switching out one of those companions, tho…

The winning designer spills on his contestants, (and who he ‘can’t stand’), the best piece of advice he got from the judges and what he plans to do now that he was named the winner of the competition!
Congratulations are in order for Anthony Ryan Auld, the designer crowned victorious on Project Runway All Stars Season 2! In an Exclusive interview with HollywoodLife.com, the talented young designer reflects on a season of stunning looks and dishes on upcoming collaborations and collections! The best part is — he’s not afraid to call other designers out on their drama. The All Stars season brought back some of our favorite designers of seasons past, and Anthony Ryan was not about to let his big second chance go to waste. Having only made it to seventh place in Season 9, he described this time around as “my second chance to show who I am as a designer.

But if Kathy Griffin does't mention her new comedy special several times

News
Yesterday, a rumor made the rounds that NBC was developing a follow-up or reboot of iconic arthouse soap Twin Peaks. However, Twin Peaks producer Mark Frost denied that he's talked with NBC. Too bad, as it might be fun to revisit that cult TV classic.
The New York Times reports that Al Jazeera has closed a deal to purchase Current TV and turn it into a new channel, Al Jazeera America. The new channel probably will not keep any of Current's lineup and offer a mix of original programming and content from Al Jazeera English. Current began by taking over another news channel, NewsWorld International. So it ends as it began. Meanwhile, Deadline adds that Time Warner Cable announced that they are "removing the service as quickly as possible.

It turns out the series Fringe inspires smart use of glow-in-the-dark art.

Designer and former ‘Runway’ contestant Michael Costello talks us through the entire episode in his latest recap. Read on to find out which designer’s dress will be manufactured and sold by Elie Tahari!
We start the show on New York City’s iconic Fifth Avenue, where we see the designers ogling the windows of one of the biggest designer’s offices. They go into the Elie Tahari store where they meet the one and only designer himself. This challenge’s prize? Elie Tahari is going to manufacture, produce and advertise the winning designer’s look! The proceeds go to Save the Garment Center, which is the cause that Mondo and I designed for last ‘All Stars’ season.
Emilio is seeing this challenge as an opportunity to showcase his ability to have a strong functioning business.
Ivy is working with a print because she never does — and then here comes...

How can you root against this?
This week the designers have to create a ready-to-wear "wow" look while meeting a retail budget of $700 - $900. Their guest mentor and judge is Elie Tahari, who actually goes into the workroom with Joanna Coles to talk to the designers and assess their unfinished designs. It's the first time this season that the guest judge has entered the workroom, and I think it should happen more often, because it was one of the most affecting moments of the entire season. The designers learned his bootstrap backstory while receiving advice and encouragement about navigating the world of fashion.
The best moment of the show was when Anthony video chatted with close pal Matthew, who said he was giving up "Beer Night" at work to talk to him. But that's what best friends do for each other. And I'm glad My Sweet Anthony has someone to...

What in the holy hell is going on?
Sadly, the warm glow of last week's Kylie Minogue appearance has faded, and we're back to another could-have-been-interesting but ultimately lackluster challenge. But we did get one truly bizarre moment that says ... something ... about the phoniness of reality shows. But I'm not sure what.
This week the designers have to create a look for the modern woman based on the 1920s. But they also have to team up (and compete against each other). Anthony and Ivy are assigned a "speakeasy" look, Emilio and Joshua have "garden party," and Uli and Laura have "Social Soiree," which is redundant, but nevermind.
Laura holds up her Soiree card, the camera switches for a split second to Uli, and when we come back to Laura, the card now reads "Soriee." We all know that the designers have to go back and reshoot scenes to add dramatic or comedic effect,...

I don't know if it was the excitement of super special guest judge Kylie Minogue, or because the "unconventional challenges" are usually a lot of fun (if not fashion forward), but this was one of the most entertaining episodes of a very lackluster season.
The designers meet Carolyn Murphy at a NYC shipyard because ... well, I have no idea why the designers met Carolyn Murphy at a NYC shipyard. It makes no logical sense, because it has nothing to do with the challenge or with the introduction of some bigwig watchmaker, who tells them that the winner will receive a fancy watch. Actually, I was hoping Josh was right when he predicted a pirate theme, because I'd love to see them work with eyepatches, peg legs, and dead shoulder parrots.

"And now you will be hunted, one by one."
There's no getting around it ... this was a terrible episode. The designers have to use "green" materials to make a red carpet look, but all that means is that they forced the designers to try to create something un-ugly from the tackiest, ugliest swatches we've ever seen on Project Runway. We're talking sub-sub-motel curtains.
I have to give the designers credit for coming up with what they did, considering what they had to work with, but none of the final designs are what you'd call memorable. But at least they kept a sense of humor, and it's telling that the highlight of the episode was Casanova announcing that he smells, "Like a rat die in my armpit," which is a perfect metaphor.
So how did each designer do? Let's take a look. [photo_gallery|node_id=48409]

"And the sleeves will also work for our Robin Williams challenge"
This week the designers have to create an avant-garde, androgynous look for a male and female model. I thought this a terrific challenge (finally) as it would force many of the designers to go out of their comfort zones and get their creative juices flowing. And some of them gave it a game go. Althea and Uli stepped up, and while their looks weren't a total success, at least they tried, unlike the ever-annoying Laura, who is obviously remaining because the show needs someone to hate.

It’s time for the Project Runway All Stars challenge known to send shockwaves of terror into the aspiring designers’ hearts: Creating a look that could work for a man.
But as you can see in the following exclusive video, this Thursday’s episode (Lifetime, 9/8c) has an avant garde, androgynous twist that results in outfits reminiscent of Eyes Wide Shut, Star Wars and… a pony? And then there’s Ivy’s extremely unfortunate looking crotch issue. Girl, you can cover it up, but you can’t hide.

"Why yes, I am wearing a butt plug with ... mud flaps?" Seriously, what the hell is this?
This week had the potential to be interesting, but the challenge was just too random to be completely compelling. The designers had to choose a picture from one their "fans" on "Social Media," which in this case means Twitter. They had to create something to complement the picture, while not copying it.
For me, the highlight was watching Anthony Ryan discuss being diagnosed with cancer, and how he charged full steam ahead with his life while undergoing chemotherapy. We've only just said goodbye to the contestants of Project Runway's tenth season, and it's already time for a second go 'round for our All Stars! This season is a bit of a mixed bag - there's Joshua McKinley (the runner-up of the ninth cycle), Emilio Sansa, Althea Harper, Anthony Ryan Auld, Suede Baum, Laura Kathleen Planck, Ivy Higa, Peach Carr, Casanova, Uli Herzner, Kayne Gillaspie and Andrae Ganzalo. I only remember a handful of these people, but oh well. The group meets up at Parson's for the first time, where they continually call one another "amazing" in various forms. But wait - there's another contestant, and it's the hilariously amazing (pardon the expression) Wendy Pepper from season one! She's been known as a total bitch (not my words, I swear) and she's vowed not to change this time around, either - after all, (more)...

After the underwhelming Season Ten of Project Runway, I'm not sure it was a good idea for Lifetime to plunge immediately into a new cycle, as its easy to experience burnout (and this is the second All Stars series this year).
But luckily, this batch of designers is road tested for drama, skill and just a drop of crazy, so maybe they can deliver some excitement ...or at least, tears and slapfights.
The designers meet up, get acquainted (or re-acquainted), new host Carolyn Murphy informs them that the winner will receive the biggest prize in Runway history, with cash and fashion crap totaling $350,000 dollars, and then they are immediately thrust into the the thick of things (this series is only an hour an episode, which adds to the frenzy and eliminates the dull spots, thankfully).
Mentor Joanna Coles has them choose teams, and each team is assigned to create a mini collection with "attitude.

We can quibble about the name Project Runway: All-Stars, since I don't see prized contestants like Nick Verreos or Jillian Lewis in this lineup, but the second installment of Lifetime's alumni competition is probably going to be entertaining all the same. Truly. There are enough wild cards at play here -- each equipped with a wildly different skill type and level -- to make the season worth a run. The only problem? We need to rank which of these all-stars is destined for success. So here, just two days shy of Thursday's premiere, my predictions for the rankings of Project Runway All-Stars' new season. Spoiler: Pretty sure I made it work, guys.
13. Peach Carr
Now, I am a human being, so I love Peach Carr, her constant catchphrasing (Loved when she said that her skirt wasn't short enough to "show the good china?), and her ritzy suburban Chicago flair.

Thankfully, Ryan Lochte doesn't wear af shirt for the entirety of his appearance on 30 Rock.

It turns out Dylan McDermott will make a return appearance on American Horror Story. No word on if his bare bum will also be back.
Oh. Please. No. The Twilight series might continue past the end of Breaking Dawn Part 2, there may be a TV continuation in the works.
Thanks to my Twitter feed, I know The Great British Bake Off has some pretty loyal fans and now CBS is adapting the competition series, which will just be titled Bake Off.
Eeeee! The amah-zing Polly Walker will appear five episodes of Warehouse 13. She'll play a "nemesis" of the Warehouse team, I hope they don't plan to take any baths in the same room as plugged-in electrical appliances anytime soon.
Yes! George Takei has signed up for an appearance on Hawaii Five-0, where he'll play Chin Ho's uncle.

Project Runway has become something of a caricature of itself in the past few years, but let's never forget how amazing this show was and -- sometimes -- still is. The reason it remains my favorite reality competition show of allllll time (excepting perhaps The Mole) is its judges are such callous buzzards. So offensively dismissive. So haughty in their derision. So unnecessarily mean. So everything I want my children to be. Ten seasons in, Michael Kors is still the most damning character on that panel, and because he turns 53 today, I say we revisit his most hilarious and cutting barbs. So happy birthday, Mr. Kors! The crotch on your birthday is Insane.
(I've listed his quotes according to the garments he insulted. Scroll below each picture to read his legendary retort.)
1. Raymundo Balthazar's Barbie dress (season two)
Kors: "She looks like barefoot Appalachian Li'l Abner Barbie."
2. Marla Duran...

Much as I forswore never again to take on the thankless task of recapping a Project Runway season from beginning to end like I did last year (unless, ahem, you wanna throw some major cashish my way) we have to, just simply have to, watch the PR All Stars premiere Thursday January 5 at 9/8 central on Lifetime. I mean, how can we not? So let's take a look at the contestants and try to figure out why they're putting themselves through this hell again.
First of all you need to be aware that there will be nary a leggy German supermodel with a proclivity towards short hems in sight, nor a dashing and debonair silver-haired bespectacled and impeccably dressed mentor who's been known to give out hugs on occasion, nor a famed designer who can cut one dead with merely a sentence tossed their way. Yep. No Klum, No Kors, No Gunn.

Project Runway season eight finalist Michael Costello says he has no idea how the rumor started.
He's not talking about the rumor that he dissed one of his fellow-designers to an audience invited to vote on their designs. (Not true, he says.) And not the one that he doesn't know how to sew, either. (Also not true.)
No, what he can't figure out is where anyone got the idea he's straight.
Even though his official Lifetime website bio clearly says he's gay, for some reason he wasn't included in the "Team Gay" roster provided to AfterElton.com when the casting lineup for the show's eighth season was announced. A quick Google search on "Is Michael Costello gay?" turns up a number of places where fans firmly identify him as straight – some based on this site's exclusion of him from "Team Gay" – and others where they debate the issue based on...

Ivy Higa has credited her fellow contestants with making her Project Runway experience memorable. The 30-year-old - who was eliminated during this week's program - admitted that she felt comforted by meeting other young designers who are also struggling for a break. Ivy Higa has become the tenth contestant to be eliminated from Project Runway. The 30-year-old fashion designer from Hawaii, who lives in New York, was sent home from the Lifetime competition's eighth season on Thursday night’s episode. "It sucks because I just felt like I just had so much more to show of me and I think I have a lot more creativity than some of the other designers out there," she said. This week's challenge saw the remaining hopefuls creating a high-fashion look for a L'Oreal Paris advertorial. Tim Gunn told them that high-fashion meant something that would be at home in Paris Fashion Week. The winning design would appear in Marie Claire magazine, while the winning designer would win an "unprecedented prize" of $$20,000 from L'Oreal. Each designer was told to choose a shade of L'Oreal eyeshadow to inspire (more)...

Once again, the judges love Michael Costello's work on 'Project Runway' (Thu., 9Pm Et on Life). And once again, the other contestants are left bemused and incredulous. "You can't do a zipper, a swoop, lace and satin! Come on!" says Gretchen Jones.
When Michael brags about the judges' reaction to his turning a bridesmaid dress into a "sexy, sophisticated, expensive-looking" cocktail dress, Gretchen, Ivy Higa and the other competitors bite their tongues. But their pained expressions betray them.
In his absence, Gretchen's exasperation bubbles to the surface.

McKell may have been kicked off, but designers Casanova, Jason Troisi and Iva Higa still need to watch their backs — they could be sent home next!
It wasn’t just a regular premiere July 29 for the eighth season of Lifetime’s Project Runway. It was still audition time for the designers and one of them just didn’t make the cut. Host Heidi Klum, judges Michael Kors and Nina Garcia and guest judge Selma Blair sent 29-year-old McKell Maddox packing!
But, McKell wasn’t the only ones the judges were tempted to cut loose; they also called out designers Casanova, Jason Troisi and Ivy Higa for their questionable designs.
The first challenge began with Heidi asking the contestants to “please open up [your bags] and pull out one item you would like to incorporate into your garment … now pass it to the person on your right.”
For designer Casanova,...
