David Kane, lead writer on the BBC’s Shetland, is developing Denise Mina’s Morrow book series into a multi-season TV show.
Set in Glasgow, Morrow, which consists of five books, follows DS Alex Morrow, a formidable detective who can’t face talking to her husband or bear to sleep in the family home following a recent trauma. As she investigates a crime with partner Bannerman for season one titled Still Midnight, questions arise about whether their ambitious Machiavellian boss McKechnie has their backs.
Morrow doesn’t have a broadcaster attached yet but Kane envisages it running for multiple seasons. He is the lead writer on hit Scottish BBC series Shetland, which has run for seven seasons and for which he has been nominated for a BAFTA Scotland Award.
Kane and Mina are exec producing Morrow, having combined on BBC drama cult hit The Field of Blood, which starred Peter Capaldi...

The Mighty Ducks movie franchise remains a fan-favorite decades after it was released on the big screen. The television adaptation of the famed franchise hasn’t been as lucky. After two seasons, Disney+ has opted to cancel the series, a decision that was not totally unexpected. While fans of The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers are bummed by the news, Gilmore Girls fans are cautiously optimistic that it could mean good things for a second revival. So, does the series’ cancelation suddenly free up Lauren Graham’s schedule to consider a reboot of Gilmore Girls? Maybe. Is it going to happen, though? So far, there has been no news, but there is hope.
Disney+ has officially canceled ‘The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers’
It’s a wrap for The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers. Disney+ announced that the series would not get a third season on Feb. 17. Season 2 premiered in September 2022 and included 10 episodes.

Disney+ has canceled the John Stamos-led sports comedy-drama Big Shot, as well as The Mighty Ducks: Changers, both after two seasons, Deadline has confirmed.
Created by David E. Kelley, Dean Lorey and Brad Garrett, with Lorey serving as showrunner, Big Shot centered on Marvyn Korn (Stamos). After he is ousted from his position as head coach for an NCAA basketball team, he is given a chance at redemption with a coaching position at Westbrook, an elite private high school for girls, and soon learns that the teenage players require empathy and vulnerability – foreign concepts for the stoic Coach Korn.

A new premiere date and rollout for Marvel’s upcoming Disney+ series “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” was announced Wednesday during the streamer’s presentation at the Television Critics Association summer press tour.
Instead of debuting on its originally announced premiere date of Wednesday, August 17, “She-Hulk” will premiere Thursday, August 18. The nine-episode comedy series will then roll out weekly on Thursdays, marking a change in strategy.
The move marks Disney+’s continued expansion of its programming schedule. While certain blockbuster series such as “Obi-Wan Kenobi,” “Ms. Marvel” and “The Book of Boba Fett” debuted new episodes on Wednesdays, Season 2 of “The Mandalorian” delivered new chapters on Fridays, a day Netflix has long dominated with its own new binge releases. “She-Hulk” will be the first Marvel series to drop new episodes on Thursdays.
