Leah Hefner was born May 2, 1947 to Norman and Evelyn Ferrier in Long
Beach, California. After college she met her husband,
Tom Hefner and the two decided to start a
family. Then, on December 16, 1969 Leah gave birth to her son,
Dan Hefner. Unbeknownst to the doctors and
Leah at the time, they quickly realized that she was actually pregnant
with twins! It was a huge and surprising shock. So, two minutes later,
Leah gave birth to her second son,
David Lee Hefner.
She always loved the beautiful Pacific Northwest, and wanting to raise
her children in a better environment than the big city of Los Angeles,
she encouraged her husband to move to the Seattle, Washington area. It
was here during the rainy seasons that her artistic talents became
noticed. She enjoys creating her arts and crafts, and handiwork
including knitting, sewing, and crochet.
Leah then had another son, Michael. When Michael became older, her
children started making short films and she would use her creative
talents to help make props for their movies. Today, she enjoys
gardening, traveling, and watching her son's films.
