- As an actor Pam Tate has portrayed characters as diverse as Zelda Fitzgerald, hard-boiled Lorraine in Sam Shepard's A Lie of the Mind, pill-popping Violet in August Osage County, and sweet and kooky Mary in A.R. Gurney's Crazy Mary. Pam's directing projects have included full-productions in NYC. She developed and directed new plays at off-Broadway theaters such as Pulse Ensemble Theatre, in NYC. A favorite was Punch Line, by Jody Heaps, about an aging boxer with one last chance. Pam has directed and acted in dozens of staged readings in NYC and regionally.

- As an acting coach, Pam uses exercises, improvisation, monologues and scenes to teach the techniques of Sanford Meisner, Stanislavsky, and Lee Strasberg's "Method,".
- Pam's writing projects include plays and screenplays dealing with subjects including "Leni" based on the infamous Leni Riefenstahl, Hitler's notorious filmmaker in Nazi Germany.
- Pam has a BA in film studies and dramatic writing from The New School University and was recipient of the Joan Howard Kersner Scholarship in the Performing Arts. - As Associate Director of the International Cabaret Conference at Yale, Pam worked with cabaret artists from around the world in this 9-day program of master classes taught by acclaimed artists such as Carol Hall (composer Best Little Whorehouse in Texas), Amanda McBroom (composer of The Rose), Broadway stars Faith Prince, Sally Mayes, and Tovah Feldshuh, among others.
