When we reviewed Trauma Therapy: Psychosis it was mentioned the fillm was a reworked version of The Vance Institute. A was originally shot with the intent of being released in black and white with a few colour scenes. Instead, it was released all in colour.
There was also new footage added featuring Tom Sizemore as the host of The Tom Sizemore Show interviewing Victor, one of the characters from the 2019 film Trauma Therapy. After Sizemore died this made a centrepiece of the film’s publicity as his last film despite there being several more of his films yet to be released.
This was shot and edited in without the participation of the original director, Lawrie Brewster who says he was assured he would have the final cut.

A sequel to the 2019 Trauma Therapy, which I remember as not too bad of a film with a lofty concept but sadly a sloppy execution leaving viewers with a middling taste. A sequel that I don’t think anyone was asking for but here we find ourselves. A sequel marred in a touch of controversy due to unhappy directors, overbearing producers, writers, actors and the untimely demise of the late Tom Sizemore.
Apparently, there are two cuts of this movie out in the wilderness. One with and one without Tom Sizemore and to be honest I can’t see there would be much of a difference considering the insignificance of his screen time. But… it is always nice to see the man on screen.

Directed by Gary Barth, and written by Tom Malloy and David Josh Lawrence, the film – a sequel to Trauma Therapy (2019) – sees Malloy return as Tobin Vance, a notorious self-help guru who has been exiled overseas. As the feds move in on his US operation,
Vance is building a new base in the remote outskirts of Kirkcaldy, Scotland. There, his stoic assistant Elizabeth (Hannah New), along with former student John (David Josh Lawrence), recruit a hopeful new group of lost souls for an intensive retreat to solve their deep-seated problems.
The film also features Pirates of the Caribbean’s Vince Lozano, Jamie Scott Gordon, Gordon Holliday, and Megan Tremethick. Sizemore appears as himself, the host of a Larry King-like TV talk show.

A sequel to 2019’s Trauma Therapy, the story continues as self-help guru Tobin Vance (Tom Malloy) arrives in the UK to avoid arrest from his US operations while secretly running more retreats. With the help of new assistants, he seeks to lure vulnerable individuals into a promised retreat to better themselves, yet the group are unaware of the nightmares awaiting them.
It should be noted that Trauma Therapy: Psychosis arrived with an air of controversy revealed on Twitter by director Lawrie Brewster. He considers this film to be an unauthorized re-edit of his film, with criticism aimed at it being “exploitative of Tom Sizemore’s death”, which left Brewster to request that the director credit be given to his...

Is this doctor a healer? Or an instigator of nightmares? "I just want to help," he says in the new trailer for The Black Gloves. Judging by the evidence in every other moment in the trailer itself, starting with the very first image of a doll with a shadow creature creeping up in the background, that may not be possible. Written by Sarah Daly and directed by Lawrie Brewster, the film features an ensemble cast, including Jamie Scott Gordon (Bonejangles 2), Macarena Gómez, and Alexandra Hulme (Girls). Our founder and editor Todd Brown wrote about the crowdfunding project back in 2017. As Todd wrote: "Brewster has been carving out a healthy niche for himself with his distinctive approach to horror film," which...

After slaughtering nearly all the local police force, the legendary immortal serial killer Bonejangles has finally capture. With Bonejangles now detained and heavily sedated, the four surviving officers need to transport him to a secure facility. On route, the police van breaks down in a cursed town called Argento(!), overrun by zombies and controlled by a succubus witch and to make it worse Bonejangles escapes.
There are plenty of horror comedies, but it is always difficult to get the right balance between the two. Bonejangles thankfully follows in the footsteps of the Hatchet series, by creating a mix of ridiculous laugh out comedy and enough bloody gore to keep most horror fans entertained. The violence in the film is played out...

Lord of Tears is an independent horror film directed by Lawrie Brewster that will be hitting the festival circuit later this year. Their goal was to create a movie that had more of a classic feel, similar to The Wicker Man and The Haunting, and we thought readers might be interested in learning more. If you’d like an early look at the movie, we have a brand new trailer:
“Baldurrock House has a dark reputation. Built on the site of a pagan shrine, the crumbling mansion in the Scottish Highlands holds many disturbing secrets.
When troubled teacher James Findlay begins having visions of a nightmarish owl man, he returns to Baldurrock, his ancestral home, in search of answers. There, he meets Evie Turner, a beautiful young American woman who helps him to unravel the mysteries of the house and the forgotten years he spent there as a child.
