Shaun Dennis O'Brien Barry was born in Oliver, British Columbia, Canada. His father, Tom Barry, is a former Victoria, BC, and RCMP Police Officer from Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia, and his mother, Maureen Luney, is a former nurse from Victoria, BC. Shaun moved with his mother and father to Victoria, BC, when he was two years old.
In his late teens, he worked at the local video store where his love of film went into high gear.
He continued his passion for the moving picture attending the British Columbia Institute of Technology in Vancouver, BC, studying Film & Video Production, and honing his technical skills behind the scenes. During his time in school, he spent time on his first film set in the Camera Department; 2007's "They Wait" with Jaime King, Michael Biehn, and Pei-Pei Cheng.
After completing his studies in Vancouver, he moved back to Victoria, BC with his wife Tracey, and worked various jobs including Coach Analysis Videographer for Rugby Canada, Film School Instructor, and Director/Videographer/Editor on an array of music videos, and short films.
In 2018, he decided to get back into the film industry, and worked in the Locations and Camera Departments on a number of films including "Brahms: The Boy II", "Love and Sunshine", "The Last Bridesmaid", and the childrens' series, "Pup Academy". He later decided to try his hand as an Assistant Location Manager on "Love in Store", "A Beautiful Place to Die: A Martha's Vineyard Mystery", and its' sequel, "Riddled with Deceit: A Martha's Vineyard Mystery".
Shaun currently live in Victoria, BC with his wife and two children.
