Darren began his career when he gained a scholarship for vocational training at The Urdang Academy while studying at South London Dance Studios & John Ruskin College. While at The Urdang Academy he trained extensively in acting, singing and dance. Darren graduated in 2007 with honours and went straight into his first show Carmen Jones at The Royal Festival Hall accompanied by The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra & The London Symphony Orchestra. Since then he has played leading roles both on the West End, Europe, USA, and Asia in shows such as Five Guys Named Moe, Bollywood Nights, The Rat Pack Live From Las Vegas, Joseph and the amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Screams of Kitty Genovese, A Harlem Dream, Sister Act and Guys and Dolls at The Royal Exchange Manchester where he performed for The Earl Of Wessex. He is also founding member of UK's top Hip Hop Dance company BirdGang and has performed in commercials, music videos, studio recordings, Bollywood films, Hollywood films, Television series and events such as The London Olympics Opening Ceremony & The National Theatre's 50th Anniversary of Black Theatre. - Darren auditioned and went straight into his first West End show months before graduating The Urdang Academy, which meant that he couldn't be apart of the annual end of year show because he was already performing at The Royal Festival Hall.

- Darren played Society Max in the UK's first ever all black production of Guys and Dolls at The Royal Exchange Manchester by Talawa Theatre Company.
