Tony Anderson is an American born composer for film and television.
Anderson was born in 1986 in Fort Lauderdale Florida among a family of
7. Musically, he failed as a classical pianist - not able to sustain
the pace of lessons and study. Influenced by the birth of house music
and electronica, Tony began experimenting with digital sequencing in
1999 when given a family computer. His love and fascination in
sequencing birthed sounds which caught the attention of independent
filmmakers in the midwest United States where Anderson was attending
university. The electronic and orchestral blend of Tony's sound
(influenced by composers such as Hans Zimmer, Harry Gregson-Williams
and Hybrid) led to the scoring of many independent films which has
allowed him to learn the emotional complexities of film composing.
Today, Anderson works in his studio (based in Lexington, KY) and
continues to write music for independent films, advertisements,
television shows and other media. His sound can be described as a
delicate and emotive blend of electrocinema; a modern approach to
moving viewers in moments of subtlety.
