London, Aug 26 (Ians) All it took was 90 minutes on Monday for Manchester United to pass their early season crisis 25 miles west to Liverpool and now United coach, Erik Ten Hag will hope to build on their 2-1 win, when his side travels to play Southampton on Saturday.
Casemiro is in line for his debut after signing from Real Madrid and will slot in ahead of the defense, while Harry Maguire will once again be watching from the subs bench — probably sitting close to Cristiano Ronaldo as Marcos Rashford leads the attack.
Southampton have improved in recent games, and United will have to be wary of their dangerman, Che Adams, who has netted four goals in the past week.
Liverpool’s defeat at Old Trafford left a lot of questions to be answered, but the fact is that most of the answers can be supplied by a look at an injury list that includes,...

London, Aug 26 (Ians) Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has hinted that the club could enter the transfer market, saying the authorities are working constantly to find the right player for the squad.
Liverpool have signed Darwin Nunez, Fabio Carvalho and Calvin Ramsay since finishing runners-up to Manchester City in the Premier League last season and a lengthy injury list has left them short of midfielders.
The transfer window closes next Thursday and Klopp said, “We are working constantly on these type of things and we’ve spoken before about why sometimes it’s not happening. Sometimes it’s expensive, sometimes not the right player, but then situations change. It needs to be the right player and we’re working. If something will happen or not, I don’t know.”
Klopp is not expecting any of his injured players to return to contention for Saturday’s home Premier League game against Bournemouth.

London, Aug 19 (Ians) Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp admits Darwin Nunez will have plenty of time to learn from his red card for headbutting Crystal Palace defender Joachim Andersen in the 1-1 Premier League draw at Anfield.
The Uruguay international, who arrived in the summer, was dismissed early in the second half for flooring the Eagles centre-back after the two had tangled with each other during the match.
“Provocation and definitely wrong reaction, he will learn from that. I came in and wanted to see the situation — in the game, I could not see anything so I could know what happened: I saw Andersen on the floor and Darwin walking away,” Klopp said.
“Then I saw it — yes it is a red card. Wrong reaction in the situation. Andersen wanted that, he got it but he (Nunez) made a mistake.”
Klopp pointed to the provocation the striker had received but accepted...

London, Aug 12 (Ians) Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is adamant he can solve his midfield issues from within his squad and will not be resorting to the transfer market.
A hamstring injury to key man Thiago Alcantara in last week’s opening match at Fulham could sideline the Spain international for up to six weeks, adding him to a list which also includes Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Curtis Jones.
But Klopp insists they have explored all their viable transfer opportunities and he will not sign a player just for the sake of bumping up their numbers.
“Thiago is good but the injury is not good. I read four to six weeks, I would prefer four,” Klopp said.
“I am happy with the strength, size and quality of my squad. We have injuries, that’s how it is. Now it is the question how long the players will be out and the different solutions for it.
