Gilles Doiron
- Producer
- Camera and Electrical Department
- Cinematographer
Gilles' first job was to help figure skaters perfect their form through
video analysis. He was 14, running across highways and hopping over
fences to get to work after school. He was making good money doing
something he enjoyed. Years later, he left his hometown of Dieppe to
become a student of the Toronto Film School. There, to exercise his new
knowledge, he constantly volunteered to be a part of his classmates'
production teams. That's when he discovered his passion to become a
Director of Photography/Director. He graduated with honors in 2008.
After working and living in Montreal for a year, working as Tape It Up
Productions, he realized he wanted to return to the Maritimes. He came
back home with a mission to help the New Brunswick film industry grow.
He started by traveling across the Province giving film making
workshops in schools. He wasn't only helping the future of the
industry. He also knew the more teaching he did, the more his lessons
would become a key part of his own skill set. On his arrival back into
town, he realized an old friend was in the same business. He decided to
join Jean-Marc Goguen and his brother Martin Goguen at Botsford
Productions. Now surrounded with a team, Gilles can let his ambitious
imagination run and achieve bigger and better projects, making a
stronger impact with his filmmaking. Silver Wave Film Festival 2012 -
