- Andy Gress has been making movies for almost his entire life. He was first introduced to filmmaking around age 5 when he started making videos with his sister, her friend, and a cast of stuffed animals. Despite their silliness, these movies encouraged Andy to explore the world of narrative filmmaking.
This early interest in film flourished tremendously during high school. For four years, Andy contributed over 900 hours to directing, producing, filming, and editing the Santa Barbara High School weekly video news bulletin, also known as Channel 6 Action News.
Upon acceptance into Chapman University's distinguished Film Production major, Andy helped foster the creation of the Underground Showdown, a bi-weekly student-run film festival. He has won multiple awards at the Underground Showdown Film Festival, including Best Picture and Best Cinematography. Andy helped run the festival for some time as a Club Officer and Student Government Representative.
Although his true passion is editing, Andy has been known to dabble in the arts of cinematography and sound as well.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Andy Gress
