Shot in just one take, BarrLipp Productions’ gritty crime drama Watch The Sunset follows an ex-bikie who is trying to reunite his broken family torn apart by his devastating drug addiction. Now “Shot in one take” doesn’t always work on the big screen and feels more suited for TV shows but I am always interested in seeing how its done. On top of that this film is “based on Real Events” and it’s Aussie; and I am all about Aussie true crime drama (check out movies like Wolf Creek, Chopper or the long running series Underbelly (incredible), so I am in!
Watch The Sunset has an underlying theme about effects of Crystal Meth or Ice, which is very real contemporary Australian issue; and the one shot concept of the film allows the viewers to observe the harsh reality of this regional problem on an intimate and raw level.

Not a lot of filmmakers are rushing to make contributions to the single-take film style. Apart from being very difficult to pull off without a tonne of preparation beforehand you have to have something compelling in that single shot will captivate the audience's attention for a solid feature length run time. Australian filmmakers Tristan Barr and Michael Gosden believe they have such a film with their thriller Watch The Sunset. Not only did the duo write and direct their flick but they also star in it along with Chelsea Zeller (who also helped with the screenplay), Annabelle Williamson, Aaron Walton, Zia Zantis-Vinycomb, Catherine Dawson, and Dennis Robertson.
