Born and raised in Lancaster, Pennsylvania Jodie was enticed by the entertainment industry during high school when one of PA's top-modeling agents approached her while she was working at a salon. She was immediately urged to compete in a local pageant where she was voted Miss. Amity by her peers and won the crown, which advanced her to the Miss. Pennsylvania state competition of the USA system. While studying the arts, communications and business marketing in college, she continued to compete in various pageant systems, winning several titles. Jodie mentions that being nominated Miss.
