The future of Bob's Burgers is secure, at least for right now. The Fox series has already been renewed for a 15th year and the 2024-25 broadcast season. Could that be the end since Disney now owns Bob's Burgers? Stay tuned.
An animated family comedy series, the Bob's Burgers TV show stars H. Jon Benjamin, Dan Mintz, Eugene Mirman, John Roberts, Kristen Schaal, and Larry Murphy. Bob Belcher (Benjamin) is a family man and a third-generation restaurateur who lives on Ocean Avenue in a small seaside town. He operates the Bob's Burgers restaurant with his fun-loving and happy-go-lucky wife, Linda (Roberts), and their three kids. Tina (Mintz) is their socially awkward and insecure eldest daughter. Middle child Gene (Mirman) is the family's whimsical, good-natured, and a bit goofy, son. Mischievous and a bit of a schemer, Louise (Schaal) is the youngest child and daughter. While...

After struggling to find its footing over an initial season, Loren Bouchard’s Bob’s Burgers has become one of the most delightful half-hours on TV. Its feature-film expansion retains the series’ scope and scale and, unlike other big-screen adaptations, it resists the urge to branch out into gimmicks—no celebrity cameos, no big set pieces. That, after all, is not the Belchers’ style. A running gag is that every time they come close to success a slight mistake compounds their fate and keeps them from reaching beyond their modest but highly creative seaside burger joint.
In that spirit the film stays grounded, following the Belchers’ adventures along Ocean Avenue in the shadow of the Wonder Wharf amusement pier—perhaps inspired by some of the smaller towns along the Jersey Shore like Point Pleasant and Belmar. In this film the Belchers never even venture off to the ritzier enclaves nearby like King’s Head Island.

It’s not usually a good sign when a movie features a diarrhea joke in its first five minutes, but for The Bob’s Burgers Movie, it’s proof that the film has its heart is in the right place.
Longtime viewers of the Fox animated sitcom know that intestinal maladies are common for anxiety-prone restaurant owner Bob Belcher (H. Jon Benjamin), and are of constant interest to his upbeat wife Linda (John Roberts) and son Gene (Eugene Mirman). So when the film opens with a song about Bob being plagued by bowel issues because he’s about to ask for an extension on a business loan, it’s proof that the family’s transition to the big screen is in the right hands.
Debuting in 2011, Bob’s Burgers quickly found an audience due to its surreal humor, well-rounded characters and optimistic tone. Often very funny, its focus on the bond between...

‘Bob’s Burgers’, ‘Elizabeth: A Portrait In Parts’ competing with the blockbuster.
Long-awaited sequel Top Gun: Maverick takes flight in 737 UK-Ireland cinemas this weekend through Paramount – the fifth widest opening of all time in the territory.
The number – coincidentally a significant one for the aviation industry – is also the third-widest opening for a 12A certificate film, behind Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker and No Time To Die.
Top Gun: Maverick is one of the last blockbusters that were originally scheduled for the pandemic months to hit cinemas. It was originally dated for July 12, 2019, before a delay to June 26, 2020 due filming certain action sequences.

With Memorial Day looming, many moviegoers may not “feel the need, the need for speed”, Perhaps instead, they’ve got a “hunger, a hunger for…”well, I got nuthin”. Wait a minute, a nice grilled hamburger usually will stifle those cravings. Although, will they want to sink their teeth into an animated one? Much as the studios did with “The Simpsons”, “South Park”, and “Beavis and Butthead”, they’re raiding the tube for a brand new animated feature film. Now, this cartoon hasn’t been around nearly as long as the first one mentioned, but it...

H. Jon Benjamin, John Roberts, Dan Mintz, Eugene Mirman, Kristen Schaal, and Larry Murphy have been providing the voices of Bob Belcher, Linda Belcher, Tina Belcher, Gene Belcher, Louise Belcher, and Teddy on the animated series "Bob's Burgers" for over a decade. It's clear that over the last 11 years, their personalities and relationship dynamics have slowly morphed to resemble what we see on screen, and so much of their characters' personalities come from their own brilliant, comedic instincts. In preparation for "The Bob's Burgers Movie," I was given the great honor to interview the cast ... at...

There are several reasons why “Bob’s Burgers” has been on the air for over a decade and why the Fox mainstay has such a huge fan base. The show is about a relatable couple trying to run a small restaurant, pay their bills and raise their kids. Although scripted, the half-hour comedy allows the voice actors to improv, allowing for authentic comedic timing rare in an animated series. And most notably, “Bob’s Burgers” is really a long-running musical that happens to be a comedy.
“The Bob’s Burger’s Movie,” the first feature for the franchise, doesn’t stray too far from this formula and adds a whodunnit murder mystery complete with dance numbers, zombies, carnies, and a robot UFO to the plot. The film succeeds in introducing the world to Bob Belcher (H. John Benjamin), his wife Linda (John Roberts), and children Tina (Dan Mintz), Eugene (Eugene Mirman), and...

The art of adapting an animated series to feature length is a bit of a tricky thing. With twelve seasons of history, there is the danger that the Bob’s Burgers story has been thoroughly told; thankfully that’s not the case here and The Bob’s Burgers Movie is a solid new chapter that earns its big screen presence. The story begins with the same conceit as many of the episodes, exploring the plight of the common burger man trying to stay afloat. Bob Belcher (H. Jon Benjamin) and his wife Linda (John Roberts) are off to the bank to ask for an extension on a loan. A quick thumbs down from their loan officer means they need to sell a lot of burgers very fast, but...
