Moneta Eagles was born 1924 in Australia. She studied at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Her piano concerto 'Diversions' was commissioned by pianist Eileen Joyce. Her first film was The Commonwealth Film Unit's documentary North to the Sun. In 1951 she studied with Matyas Seiber at The Royal College of Music, London, England. When she returned to Australia she was appointed Director of The Commonwealth Film Unit. She died in 2003.
