The newfound love towards TV shows that revolve around a specific profession is easily understandable: the viewers find it quite interesting to dive deeper into the world of professionals mastering their jobs and becoming praised by those around them.
There are many crime dramas or police procedurals that captivate the viewers with the complex stories, but the genre that really became one of the most favorite among the viewers is medical drama.
And while there are a lot of them, the most intriguing ones are those with quirky main characters, like The Good Doctor that follows the brilliant autistic surgeon Shaun Murphy. As the show nears its finale, it seems like the right time to find a replacement.
Here are 5 shows we think you’ll love if you are a fan of The Good Doctor in any of its aspects.

The women of Netflix’s Physical 100 were underestimated when building teams. But fans are calling Kim Da-young the Mvp of the sand quest after her impressive performance.
[Warning: This article contains spoilers for Physical 100 Episode 5-6.]
Kim Da-young build a bridge on ‘Physical 100’
Episode 5 showed the rest of the teams doing the sand quest. Team Jo Jin-hyeong went up against Team Kwak Myung-sik.
Da-young took the lead on building the bridge. “The opposing team was ahead of us, and I felt insecure,” she said. “But anyway, working in the stunt business, I learned a huge lesson about safety. So even if we lose, we shouldn’t get hurt. I worked very thoroughly.”
The other team finished first and started crossing the bridge. But their boards also fell apart behind them. On the other hand, Jin-hyeong’s team could cross without any problems with their bridge.
In the end, Jin-hyeong’s team won. That meant Da-young, Park Jin-young, Cho Jung-myung...

Multifaceted Korean film company Acemaker Movieworks will unveil four titles at this year’s Asian Contents & Film Market, which operates alongside the Busan International Film Festival. Action and revenge feature prominently as unifying themes.
The Covid pandemic continues to have a delayed impact on the Korean production and film releasing scenes. Last year’s prolonged theatrical drought meant funds for reinvestment were in short supply and releases postponed. Many of Acemaker’s movies were shot in 2020, but are only now confirming completion and new release dates.
“Remember” is an action drama film starring Lee Sung Min (“The Spy Gone North”) and Nam Joo Hyuk (best known for TV series “Start-Up” and “Twenty-Five Twenty-One”). Directed by Lee Il Hyung (“A Violent Prosecutor”), the story revolves around a retired soldier suffering from dementia, seeking revenge from people he believes caused the death of his family. The film is a remake of Atom Egoyan...

Carter (2022).There’s a scene in Carter that exemplifies how the film pushes the formal conceit of the “single-take” actioner to new extremes. Amnesiac protagonist Carter Lee (Joo Won), tasked with rescuing the kidnapped daughter (Kim Bo-min) of a renowned virologist (Jung Jae-young), walks with the girl into an alley. Suddenly, a motorcyclist races by, snatching her up. Another rider arrives, whom Carter kicks and sends into a pile of boxes. Arcing up to an overhead position, the camera observes from above as a third bike collides into the tipped-over second, flipping both vehicle and passenger onto the ground. As Carter steals one of the bikes and begins his pursuit, the camera drops to what seems to be mere inches from the pavement, somehow keeping pace as our hero accelerates to dangerous speeds. A yellow van suddenly passes over the still-low-to-the-ground camera from behind and makes a squealing U-turn, at...

The traditional action blockbuster of the 90s and 00s was usually a film where the story was there to provide a rather thin basis for the constant action, to the point that you could fast forward the scenes when there was none. As time passed, and Korean cinema presented the likes of “I Saw the Devil” and “The Chaser”, thriller, drama, social commentary elementss also became part of the particular category, reinvigorating and elevating it to another level. As political correctness became more and more prevalent, these extra elements started to become more intense, occasionally even taking over the action/violence elements. “Carter” on the other hand, by the director of “The Villainess” seems like a throw-back to the action blockbusters of the past, focusing almost exclusively on the rather impressive action, while being ultra violent. Unfortunately, most of the issues from his previous film are also here.

Netflix has unveiled footage from “Seoul Vibe,” a Korean original movie that will release on Aug. 26, 2022. The action film’s retro look harks back to the 1980s when South Korea was leaving military rule in the rear view mirror and experiencing a new kind of cool.
The emphasis is on breathtaking driving sequences, classic vehicles, popping visuals and a groovy soundtrack.
Directed by Moon Hyun-sung, the stylish heist-action film focuses on a crew of gearheads who team up to bust a crime ring as the South Korean capital gets ready to host the 1988 Olympics.
In the days leading up to this Summer Olympics, a crew of drivers and mechanics called Sanggye-dong Supreme Team uncovers some fishy business involving a VIP slush fund. Together, Yoo Ah-in (as a supreme driver with perfect drifting skills), Koh Kyung-Pyo (as a club DJ), Lee Kyu Hyung (as the human navigator), Park Ju-hyun (as a...

"Trust me - if you want to live." Netflix has launched a teaser trailer for a kick ass, nonstop action film titled Carter, the latest from the director of The Villainess, one of the best action films of the last decade. This is another of these impressive "nonstop, real-time action" films and follows the story of a man who has lost his memory and doesn't know who he is. Netflix's intro: "Directed by Jung Byung-gil, renowned for his adrenaline-pumping action cinematography, Carter stars Joo Won, who has established a strong presence in diverse genres of K-dramas and films. He is depicted in the new teaser key art with a cross engraved on Carter’s head. This, and the tagline 'No Memory, One Mission,' will have audiences already questioning Carter's identity and veiled mission." This looks like the Crank movies, but I'm all for it anyway. Bring it on. Here's...

Mixing “Jason Bourne” and “Mission: Impossible” adrenalin rushes with Korean cool, Netflix is teasing high octane footage of “Carter,” its first Korean original movie of the second half of the year.
The action plays out two months into a deadly pandemic originating from the demilitarized zone between the two Koreas. The outbreak has already devastated the U.S. and North Korea. And the titular agent has to risk his life while figuring out his own identity.
Agent Carter wakes with no recollections of his past. His head is literally a bomb and there is a mysterious voice giving him orders for a special mission.
The trailer shows sequences ranging from intense physical combat, a “North by Northwest”-style chase through the countryside, to daredevil airplane stunts.
What is harder to gauge from the slickly edited trailer is that the film is presented as a one-scene, one-cut actioner in the style...

Let’s be honest: 2021 was one of the worst years Korean cinema had in recent times. One would’ve hoped that they would have built upon the brilliant couple years that 2019 ad 2020 were but sadly that wasn’t to be. The pandemic situation did not help, with many production houses deciding to pull scheduled releases, halting production or waiting on things to calm down before releasing some projects that have big money riding on them. Even on the indie cinema front, which actually thrived in 2021 due to the lack of mainstream releases, did not manage to impress with what little out there was.
Things however do seem to be on the up with this year, as a few postponed releases are finally getting rescheduled and seeing theatrical releases. New releases are also being talked about and promotional material for some long gestating projects is also being circulated. Without further ado,...
