Jennifer Graziano, creator of VH1's Mob Wives, is shaking things up in season 4 with the addition of new cast members — and plenty more drama. "They're all trying to feel each other out, get to know each other so in the beginning you can see that they're testing each other, who's who, what's what," Graziano told Uinterview exclusively. "We're definitely in for a lot of surprises. The ones that you thought that were not kind of fiery, really are. Even I was taken aback by that."
Working with her own sister, Renee, who stars on the series, has presented some challenges for Graziano. "I walk the fine line because my sister is on the show so it's kind of hard sometimes to see what she goes through," said Graziano. "But she's an open book and she will not let us turn the cameras off regardless."

New York -- Stars of the television show "Mob Wives" experienced a harsh dose of off-screen reality Monday when cast member Renee Graziano's father was sentenced to one and a half years in prison after his ex son-in-law wore a wire for FBI agents investigating the Bonanno mobster.

By 2011, The Real Housewives empire had spread itself conspicuously thin with formualic spinoffs stretching from Beverly Hills to Manhattan. True, cliques of social-climbing, bourgeois women playing out their often petty dramas while the cameras rolled had proven to be a lucrative enterprise, but by the time the Miami franchise debuted last year — let's face it — the whole endeavor was feeling a tad stale. To the rescue came Mob Wives, VH1's gritty challenger to the Housewives throne, which infused a whole new level of violence, passion and heartbreak into the gender-centric genre. "It will start shooting in a few weeks to air in July," Mob Wives creator Jennifer Graziano tells us. "When I first brought Big Ang in, I wanted her for season one, but I felt like she was a little bit older than the other women," Jennifer says. "She's a friend of my older sister and my aunt. ... We've known her since we were kids. We had that one major connection, and I thought, 'Let me build my brand first, then save her as my secret weapon for season two,' which I think worked out great.

Despite its reputation as a mob-friendly city, Chicago businesses are not so eager to welcome the stars of VH1's "Mob Wives Chicago" into their establishments.
The Italian-American Human Relations Foundation of Chicago has vowed to protest any business that participates in the reality show, and now the group is angry with a suburban Chicago establishment that let them inside.
Baciami!, an Italian restaurant in Elmwood Park, allowed "Mob Wives" to film in the eatery last month, the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Now, the restaurant's owner Rich Mazzullo is firing back at Italian-American critics, saying “If people don’t like it, don’t watch it.”
Mazzullo is reportedly a friend of Mob Wives cast member Leah DeSimone, whose father is allegedly associated with The Outfit.
“I’ve been in the homes of Italian-Americans since I was 12," Louis Rago, who runs the foundation, told the Sun-Times. "These (‘Mob Wives’) women are imitating...

If you haven’t watched the reality show “Mob Wives” on VH1, picture this: “Sopranos” meets “Real Housewives” meets Staten Island. It’s styled and edited cleverly to at times, mimic FBI surveillance video. It’s not about the mob, per se, but about the women who may or may not be intertwined in some way with such a group, if it existed.
Be warned: there is no shortage of cursing in this series.

Surprising things we learned: Karen Gravano could take home the title on ‘Dancing With The Stars,’ Carla Facciolo’s sincerity will melt your heart — and Renee Graziano always takes the head of the table!
The cast of VH1′s Mob Wives took a break from filming and spent the evening of April 30 in NYC. First, the group — including Renee Graziano, Karen Gravano, Carla Facciolo and Jennifer Graziano — grabbed a bite to eat at Avra, a tasty and scenic Greek restaurant in NYC’s trendy Midtown East area. Next, the girls headed to 1Oak — in the Meat Packing District — to party the night away!
HollywoodLife.com was with the girls as the pack finished the meal and headed downtown for a night of fun. The Mob Wives weren’t the only stars to be spotted at 1Oak — Jay-z and Eva Longoria were rumored to be at the club as well.

When you hear someone talking about the Mob, the first thing that pops to mind is the men that are involved in it, right? VH1 decided to take a different approach and developed a new series that will explore the universe of the women behind those men. The latest reality show to shine an unflattering light on Italian-Americans, Mob Wives is set to debut April 17 on VH1, with the producing muscle of The Weinstein Co. and Ben Silverman behind it. If you like your botox with a side of car bombs and prison visits, this is your show. In what could easily be called The Real Housewives of Staten Island, the ten-episode series created by Jennifer Graziano follows four actual mob wives, as well as Karen Gravano, the daughter of Sammy "The Bull" Gravano, as they pick up the pieces after their husbands and fathers get locked up. Think tough-talking broads with the bulldog pugnacity of a Victoria Gotti, and you're on the right track. Shows like Growing Up Gotti, The Real Housewives of New Jersey, and The Sopranos should come to mind. And don't even pretend like you're not going [...]...
