The Alliance for Women in Media Foundation announced the winners of the 47th annual Gracie Awards, which will honor some of the most talented women in television, radio and digital media. This year’s winners include Melissa McCarthy, Tamron Hall, Kelly Clarkson, Melanie Lynskey, Elle Fanning, Kaitlyn Dever, Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb.
The ceremony will return in-person on May 24 at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles, and will also honor the best of entertainment and news programming highlighting women, including “60 Minutes,” “NBC Nightly News” and “Pose.” Local and student winners will be honored at the Gracie Awards Luncheon on June 22 in New York City.

Exclusive: Flip or Flop star Tarek El Moussa has signed with Buchwald for representation in all areas, including branding & licensing, digital, personal appearances, literary and Unscripted TV.
El Moussa is currently in his eighth season on Hgtv’s house-flipping show Flip or Flop. The show continues to rank as one of Hgtv’s top-rated series, averaging more than 15 million viewers, and has inspired franchises in Nashville, Chicago, Atlanta, Las Vegas, and Fort Worth.
El Moussa also recently shot a pilot for Hgtv featuring the real estate and house-flipping expert as he partners with real estate novices to help them learn the secrets of a successful flip. This summer, El Moussa also is set to star in a new digital series for Hgtv.com that follows his new life as a single dad.
El Moussa joins Buchwald’s growing roster in branding which includes Ralph Macchio, George Takei, Jason Priestley, Wayne Knight, Bravo’s Southern Charm matriarch Patricia Altschul, Mexican chef & TV personality Pati Jinich, Tommy BrDiDario, and The Vagabrothers.

The 46th annual Daytime Emmy Awards tool place today at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium with Extra’s Mario Lopez and The Talk‘s Sheryl Underwood taking on hosting duties. The Young and the Restless took home the statuette for Outstanding Drama Series.
The award show streamed on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter and after some speedbumps with the stream, things got back on track. ABC’s General Hospital grabbed gold five times on Sunday night at the 46th annual Daytime Emmys, while CBS’ The Young and the Restless walked away from this year’s ceremony with the most total wins, eight — including for best drama.

Because we invite them into our homes, TV series regulars have a way of feeling like friends or even family. That is certainly true of the gang from “One Day at a Time,” the Norman Lear-created comedy series that aired on CBS from 1975 to 1984.
