- Yvonne is a 1st generation American born of South American parents whom emigrated to the U.S. when her older brother, Javier Ronceros, was just three years old. Her father, a Peronista and dental school drop-out met her mother, Maria A. Zender, when she was a t.v. spokes-model for both Pepsi and Nescafe coffee in Lima, Peru. Maria, was working in television, had auditioned for a telenovela when they married and she gave up her career. After living in Chicago, her mother issued her father an ultimatum, move to California or get a divorce. Thus, they moved to California and a few years later, Yvonne was born in Los Angeles CA. Although, her mother tried to jump start her career by modeling, she resigned herself to be a full-time housewife. Yvonne's mother, Maria Zender, is a 1st cousin to 1957 Miss Universe, Gladys Zender thus Yvonne and Javier are second cousins to Gladys' son, actor Christian Meier. Yvonne and her brother spent their formative years growing up in the shadow of Paramount Motion Picture Studios in Hollywood CA. Yvonne spent her childhood years, taking drama and voice classes and earned a scholarship to the University of Southern California where she studied for the Bachelor of Arts - English, Creative Writing under such distinguished professors as David St. John and T.
