Lamar Odom experienced serious tragedy in his life in the months leading up to his Tuesday hospitalization after being discovered unresponsive at a Nevada brothel.
Two of Odom's good friends, Jamie Sangouthai and Bobby Heyward, died within less than a week of each other in June.
Sangouthai – who Odom had known since they were just kids – was one of the former basketball player's closest friends and was even the best man at Odom's 2009 wedding to Khloé Kardashian.
New York native Sangouthai, who regularly appeared on Odom and Kardashian's Keeping Up with the Kardashians spinoff, Khloé & Lamar, died on June 14 at age 37 in Los Angeles.
