Born on November 29th, 1967 in Iran, he has been graduated from the school for Gifted and Talented Students in Tehran. Then, after graduation from Medical University with a Doctorate of Medicine, he pursued a variety of careers alongside medical practice. He has worked as a movie critic and journalist since 1997, and has been a permanent representative of "Picture World" movie magazine in foreign festivals, attending Cannes Film Festival since 2003. He has appeared in two Iranian TV series as an actor, and also as a guest movie critic in numerous TV programs. After immigration to Canada, he started Film Production course at Vancouver Film School, graduated in June 2011, and then started Immigration Consultancy courses and became a Certified Canadian Immigration Consultant. He is now residing in Vancouver, traveling back and forth between his offices in Tehran, Dubai and Vancouver. He is the founder and president of 3 companies: Media Film in Iran (Since 2002), Vancowest Enterprises Inc. (Immigration & Investment - Since 2011), and Pacific United Productions (Film Production & Distribution - Since 2011) in Canada. He has been the member of Jury at Hafez Annual Movie & TV Awards (Since 2013), Artistic Director of Phoenix Comedy Film Festival (Toronto 2018), and the Honorary president of Cyrus(Formerly Cine-Iran) Film Festival (Toronto - Since 2017). Since 2016 he has screened the productions of Iranian cinema in Vancouver, especially in a partnership with Cinematheque Vancouver, and also produced a number of stage performances in Vancouver. After managing Vancouver Independent Film Festival's 7th edition in November 2021 at Kay Meek Centre, this next edition of festival will host international filmmakers, under new name Pacific Film Festival from 11th to 15th of January 2023 in West Vancouver, British Columbia.
